Rancourt was an amazing experience. We had Meagan helping us taste the wine and cheeses and she was very knowledgeable about the history of the winery (which was a beautiful story). The wine was also great - I loved the rose and the caramelized onion cheese. Would recommend this winery and Meagan to anyone in the area

This winery was wonderful! They are dog friendly so we brought our Ryley in with us! Had the charcuterie and it was fantastic paired with their wines! We bought their cab franc and it was delicious!

We had a group of 34 in for a wine and cheese pairing. The cheeses were different and prepared nicely for each person on a platter and paired with some great wines. The prices for the wines were very reasonable too as was cost of the tasting. The staff were great to work with, told great stories and were very accommodating with the guests. A great time was had by all. Thanks for the hospitality!

We met for a bridal stagette in Niagara-on-the-lake to golf and do wine tours. We booked The Grape Escape for a private wine tour. One of our stops was at the Rancourt Winery. I purchased $130 of wine from Rancourt, including their award-winning 2012 Cabernet Franc. Our requested purchases were put into a wine Box without us seeing the actual bottles. When we were packing to leave, we noticed one of the bottles of Cabernet Franc had NO labels on it, and another had about 4 labels all overlapping. Neither bottle was suitable to put into my wine cellar AND, we had no idea we were actually getting the wine we paid for! It would have been impossible for the staff not to note that one bottle was completely without labels, so they obviously made the decision to pawn their substandard, unsellable bottles off on unsuspecting customers. In general, we found the staff quite rude. Certainly not an experience we will ever repeat! I emailed both Grape Escape and Rancourt. We received responses from Grape Escape. They were wonderful in their support, but this clearly wasn't their issue to resolve. We would encourage The Grape Escape to remove Rancourt from their winery stops. We did not receive any response from Rancourt, thus I have resorted to this review. I would recommend against Rancourt and if you choose to go, ensure you check your purchases before leaving!
