Beautiful location and decent wine. This is the first time traveling with a large group. Contrary to believe that the Plymouth shandadoah valley has free wine tasting... well they don't. This place definetly does not. I asked one of the young lady pouring if they waive the tasting fee for military service members... her answer was "sometimes" which I didn't understand. I'm a member at 5 wineries in the Napa/Sonoma area and most do. As i was driving away from the property... I see US Marine flag with the winery flag assuming that the owner was prior service. I have to admit that I was thoroughly disappointed. Will not visit them again.

A real standout! Andis Winery is worth a visit. The property catches your eye from the road with it's unique modern design that sets it apart from the many other wineries in this area. Perched prominently atop a hill the winery boasts a panoramic view of the entire region. Unlike many other tasting rooms at other wineries that are enclosed, Andis, with plenty of space devoted to windows, you can enjoy views of the surrounding area while sampling their wide selection of well crafted wines. The atmosphere is a bonus when tasting the exceptional wines that are served by a not only knowledgeable staff but they are very friendly also. It's as though they understand the essence of hospitality. Their relaxed, non stuffy approach to their craft made me want to stay longer than I usually do at other wineries. They offer a very nice lawn to enjoy your wine and on occasion the winery has food prepared right on the property. We enjoyed some oven baked pizza on one visit. Burgers and hotdogs on another. When you return home this winery will certainly be one you recommend to others.

I have to admit, I generally enjoy the smaller wineries more, but Andis was quite nice.

View from the tasting room was amazing. They were busy for Big Crush 2017 the Saturday that I was there, but still attentive and service was good. Their reds are delicious.

Our favorite winery in Amador. The wine is pretty good, but it's the service that sets it apart. We love Amador for its non-pretentious environment, but we feel like old friends every time we come here. Special shout out to Liz, who always treats us right!
