My condominium building needed a same-day quote and service to rekey and repair our locks. I received a call from Sheri within an hour of contacting this company and was given a clear list of prices. They were able to send a technician out to our building about 30-45 minutes after we agreed to the work. The technician was quick and professional. We would do business with them again.

My uncle (who is in his 60's) locked himself and his phone out of his house. He had to communicate with Denver Key & Lock via my laptop. The representative we spoke to; Sheri Kirkwood, was extremely unprofessional. He scheduled his appointment online, received the "Thank you for scheduling your appointment, we look forward to seeing you" email, and walked back home. (I offered to take him, he said he needed the exercise). After which, Sheri and I continued to chat online. After repeatedly asking her if someone from Denver Lock & Key would be there at 11:30, she informed me my uncle's appointment had just been "declined". Has anyone ever heard of a scheduled appointment being declined? ...WHAT???? I am EXTREMELY upset with the lack of professionalism and lack of understanding of basic business. I certainly hope Sheri was a rare representation of this company, but I won't be back. Mile High lock & key is more professional, has a better website and is $10 cheaper. I'm just saying.

We hired Denver Key & Lock to install locks on our metal fence. The guy who installed our locks was a nice guy. He unfortunately broke our glass patio table because he was working on it with his tools. Because the table cost more than the job, they agreed to not charge our card even though we had given them our card and were happy to pay for the work. We thought this was fair even though we have to replace the table which cost $500. Three days after install, the one lock did not work due to the strike plate being positioned where the latch got stuck too tightly to the strike plate. This was causing the latch to not retract when the handle was turned (this was a brand new $300 mechanical lock from Lockey). We called to have them come out and they told us their work was not guaranteed because we didn't "pay for it", even though we were out an extra $125 for the table. We called and nicely asked for them to come out and the owner hung up on us and was extremely rude. When we called back, they said "the tech works for our company but subcontracts, so if that makes sense he doesn't work for us (What?)". The technician was a nice guy and this was an unfortunate situation, but the owner was very, very unprofessional.

The staff here were extremely helpful, caring, and professional. The plastic "head" of my car key shattered, and I needed a new one. They didn't have the key in stock, but were willing to cut my own blanks that I brought to them. Most hardware store key cutting services do not cut customer-supplied blanks. It took a few tries, but they did it right, and the key was perfect. I put what I thought was my transponder back inside my car key, the key turns, but the ignition does not start at all. For thirty minutes I was stranded in front of their store! I started calling roadside service, and in a few minutes the lady working in the shop approached my window smiling. I lowered my window, and she said that they researched my specific car key, and found out there was a tiny plastic piece that I did not know about. They searched through the parts of my old, broken, key head in their trash, and they found the little piece. I placed it in my key, and the car started. That tiny piece about half the size of your pinky fingernail had been the difference between a $2 key cut and a $250 tow plus $280 key replacement. You are AWESOME!!! Highly recommended. If you ever have a specialized key and need to supply the locksmith with the blank, come HERE. The hardware store will not cut your own blanks, but Denver Lock and Key will! Just make sure to bring the lock/car/safe with you, so they can test it.

Great local locksmith with fair prices and excellent service. I needed two key blanks cut that were part of a Land Rover key fob replacement set I ordered online, so the remotes already worked, I just needed the key blanks cut. I originally went to Home Depot and they told me they wouldn't cut a key blank not purchased from them...and their machine didn't even recognize my key to purchase a blank from them. Denver Lock and Key not only had me in and out with two working keys in less than five minutes, they took the time to explain and ensure that my key blades would be cut correctly. Offering adjustment and follow up service should they not (I didn't have the vehicle with me). Got home and they work perfect! Thank you! I'll be back for sure!
