The technician came late in the afternoon to put our front door lock on that had just been polished that day so we needed the job done to protect our home overnight. He said the charge would be $265. My husband said that was entirely too much. He checked with his boss who wouldn't reduce the charge, but he offered to do it for $175 for cash. It took him no more than 10 minutes. We certainly feel this business is nothing but a scam ready to take advantage of a situation where we needed to have the lock back on that night.

Fantastic service and easy to use. I ordered a mailbox key which was unavailable at the kiosk. The key itself had to be mailed to my house which took about a week. Overall the service was quick, simple, and cost-efficient.

Lost my car keys and was several hours from home so needed replacement keys. Contacted KeyMe and they said I would get a call from a technician. One hour later I had not been called so I called them back and they connected me to the technician. He said he would be there in 35 minutes. After 45 minutes passed I called him and he said he had to turn back because he forgot something and he would be there in 20. 35 minutes later he arrived. He was personable and we got along well enough, but it quickly became clear he didn't even have the right blank-key for my car (it is electronic start), even though we talked about it beforehand. He had a 2015 version of the key (instead of 2013) and called a coworker to ask if it would work. The other guy eventually said it would so he started. He opened my locked car door successfully and began working on replacing the key. It quickly became clear he didn't know what he was doing and he started looking up Youtube videos. After about an hour he started talking to someone on the phone and told them he was "about to peel". He did not even tell me this before hand, so I was pretty pissed. Then he asked me for fifty dollars. I acquiesced only because he said he would get his coworker to come help and I didn't want to cause drama from that (and he technically did get my car unlocked although that was not what he was there for). After 15 minutes and no call from his coworker I decided to use a different company (Lock Doctor from Hampton Roads). 30 more minutes later the coworker called me and I let him know I had already contacted another company. Lock Doctor was able to help me and was very professional. All-in-all KeyMe was entirely unprofessional, unprepared, and frankly incompetent. Do not use. Had they at least told me an accurate estimate of when they would arrive it would have made the situation less miserable, but it was like every single step they messed up. Truly awful.

Took advantage of 17-year old. Refuses to give any kind of contact information or refund.

Keys made fast and work great just like the original copy. Also love that I got one free.
