The Lock Shop helped me at a very cheap price, and had the work done quickly. It helped that I was able to bring the lock in to their shop so they didn't have to come to my house and charge me for a service call. They did make a mistake in billing me, however, but I called and explained the mistake and I didn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops or spend much time on the phone. They fixed the bill and charged the correct amount. The person I dealt with in the shop was friendly and courteous.

The principal virtues of this business are that they are (a) near my home and (b) do work of good quality. If you want lock sets that are not “special” and are of the brands they carry, you will in all likelihood be very satisfied. If, however, you need something that is at odds with (a) and (b), be prepared for long waiting times, i.e., weeks, and zero communication of status. It’s as though they’ve never heard of a magical device known as a “telephone.” The way you as a customer are treated is largely determined by who handles your request. One employee I’ve dealt with was congenial and a good listener. Another has been somewhere between gruff and rude.
