Unable to get "sidewinder" key cut for my Honda despite multiple phone calls and stopping by. Here is what I did - after calling last week to make sure they were able to cut these keys (I already have the blank) I made plans today to go there today as I am only off every other Friday (not loving the local weekday business hours, but I get it). I called around 9:30am to make sure they would be able to help me today. The person answering the phone said the employee (one guy) who cuts them would be back around 11:30am and asked me to call again then. Because I had errands to run I left, heading that direction (I live about 30 minutes away) and around 11:30 I called again, twice in about 10 minutes both times the phone was busy. So I stopped in before 12 and they guy was still not there. The other clerk said he should be back around 1 and to call again. By this time I am starting to get frustrated, but I went for a bite to eat and tried to call again at 1, no answer this time, so I stopped back in at 1:30 to find the lights out, door closed, and a sign on the door saying they would be back at 3pm. How can you run a business this way?!?! I know how, because they are basically the only locksmith in town... I don't have time to plan my whole day around their schedule. And since they're only open during the week, I can only go when I am off, every two weeks. Besides getting the run around with phone tag and stopping in when they were not able to cut the key, what I really don't understand is this - why does only ONE employee know how to cut those types of keys? Am I missing something here? Wouldn't it make sense to train your other employees to cut them too? Unfortunately I don't have a lot of options. I either drive to Frederick, MD and get someone else to do it, still having to juggle my work schedule and weekday hours, or I try this place again in two weeks when I have time. I really don't know what I will do.
