I have never dealt with this bank in house as I am not from Red Deer however, did my dealings with a lady from this bank through email for setting up financing for a new home and the lady is absolutely incredible. I've had bad luck in BMOs before and this lady has really brought me back. If anyone is wishing to get banking done with someone knowledgable and actually wanting to help, her name is Penny McIntyre and I highly recommend her!!! Fantastic work!!!!

Wonderful and very professional staff! I love BMO, they always go the extra mile for me!

I have been treated so badly by BMO. Today the teller had me wait for 20 minutes at the wicket (not in line) and then told me they couldn't help me. After a long 5 minutes of waiting, I asked for the cheques back because I didn't want to wait longer without being able to cash the cheques I received from their customer. I have talked to several people right up to their head office about how to cash these cheques without having to pay to certify them and the only option I had was to put a payment on my BMO credit card with the cheques. I have been doing that for several months and today they made me wait 20 minutes to tell me they changed their policy and couldn't even do that for me. The teller apologized when I told her that I didn't appreciate having wasted 20 minutes while she left me standing at the teller wicket only to find out they could do nothing for me, particularly when I have been following their own procedure for several months up to this point. The icing on the cake was when a different teller, who had no involvement with this failed transaction, yelled across the bank at me when I was leaving to tell me the teller was just trying to help me. That was beyond rude and was unacceptable. I wonder if they had a policy change which removes all expectations of professionalism for their staff. Is there anyone on the planet who would have appreciated being yelled at across the building with that last jab? The insults just keep coming from these people when they say that if I would only open an account I would be able to cash the cheques. I don't want an account at a bank that treats people so poorly. The cheques are sometimes not honored by BMO when I deposit them in my business account and I need them to confirm there is money in the account when I am there. The cost is $20 per cheque and I am being paid pursuant to a court order in small increments which makes BMO's fees higher than the NSF fees from my own bank. BMO head office was supposed to get back to me about alternative solutions but it took several months to reach them and now it has been several months without a meaningful response.

They told me that no matter what I did I was never going to be accepted for any kind of credit card; i am young and have a blank credit score I have never owed or anything and that was the only thing they could tell me.
