I moved my chequing account to a different bank (neither with BMO) and needed to move the AW for my BMO loan payment over to the new account. After spending an hour on hold for a “customer service” rep, I was told I had to go into a branch to change this (it’s 2022 people). Interestingly, I was able to change my mortgage withdrawal over the phone with TD. Anyway, the phone rep said he had booked me an appointment at the Spruce Grove branch for the next day and they would call me at 4PM. Nobody called, so I drove to the branch to be told no appointment was booked. A nice Lady named Erin attempted to help me. She called me the day before the payment was due asking if it came through ok. I said it wasn’t due for another day. She seemed to think everything would be alright, but the withdrawal still came out of my old account, even though I attempted to fix this 11 days before the next withdrawal date. I am very disappointed with the complete failure with this from top to bottom.

Disturbing to hear that despite reporting my bank card stolen, paying a stop payment and reporting the theft of my wallet, phone, cash and more , this branch after providing a police report, has decided that the fault was mine and that they will not return the finances to my account, $245. Along with not assisting me when the thieves transferred money through PayPal. Informed me that it wasn’t their issue. Heidi is a gem, however, BMO ISNT.

In 2007 I had to pay a 21000 penalty when I transfered north sold my house and was with TD Bank - can't say I was to pleased about it. I recently sold my house and bought again and found out i was on the hook once again for a penalty this time with BMO Spruce Grove branch which I ended up paying. A few days ago BMO reached out to me on there own and arranged to meet with myself this morning. I met with the branch manager Lee Bly and she wanted to ensure that the transition to the new house was smooth and also went above and beyond to have the mortgage penalty refunded. Spruce Grove BMO you have my respect, my future business so thankyou! I would highly recommend this branch based on this experience.

I,m so disappointed with one of the mortgage specialists. i had a few things go wrong with deferring my mortgage. Then i requested some extra tax money be put in my acct last friday! The mortgage specialist apparently got moved to a different department . I emailed her and her response to me was I,m not in that department any more. Come in and talk to the tellers to see if they have a deposit for me. Well she knows i,m a Heart patient and can,t walk very well. So upset she couldn,t pass this on to the new mortgage specialist to do a followup!!!! Still waiting for a message from the Bank in Head Office and still waiting for the email from her giving me a contact name and email.
