Bough a INSTRON compression tester. Literally spend more time and money fixing since buying an equipment...and still not working for 2yrs!!.

Working with Frank Bacon was easy and convenient. I was buying several pieces of equipment for our laboratory including a maroscope, polisher/grinder, cut off saw, and a mounting press. After sending me material on the items they had on hand, they invited me up to visit and select the items I wanted for my lab. I could not beat the price when comparing to new items and other compaines that are in a similar business. It took about 4 weeks for all of the items to be refurbished if needed. After that was complete I traveled up there again and ensured everything was in working order. All of the items are in great working order and we have been using them for about 6 months. Even after the sale, they stay in contact to ensure that everything is running smoothly.

Frank Bacon refurbished a piece of equipment for me for nearly half the price of a new machine of the same spec. For a research project at a university, this was perfect. Due to complications in refurbishing the machine did take longer than originally specked but they did come through with a very good machine for its price.

We bought a used hardness tester off this tester. We paid up front for servicing and calibration. Machine began malfunctioning from the beginning. Follow telephone calls revealed what can only be described as a lack of interest on their sales engineer to give support. His manner was condescending and he was aloof. I would not recommend this company, save your money and time.
