Ive been working for Drake for the last 9 months and going strong. I love having steady work, a consistent paycheck, and working with amazing co-workers with some even worthy of friend status. I would highly recommend this company to anyone of my friends or family. When the economy is down and work is scarce Drake is there to offer a helping hand.

Drake International is one of the best staffing agencies in Edmonton and you will always get job assignments from recruiters whether in administrative or industrial work. Signed - Nina Stanich

Waited 3 weeks and not one temp job .Sent me to one job but they cancelled while I was on my way to the site. After 3 weeks of waiting I'm going to sign up to another staffing agency while I wait for a full time position.

Drake has been very reliable and easy to work with as a staffing agency, which is an employment arrangement I haven't had much prior experience with. Their office staff have been consistently helpful and prompt with addressing concerns and questions from both myself and my employer.

As mentioned in the first review of Drake International, this branch focuses on recruiting day laborers for warehouses. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I really enjoyed the work I got through Drake! Still, I made it clear that I was interested in other kinds of work, and didn't get much variety in terms of assignments. Given the nature of the logistics and distribution industry, most of the gigs are either very late at night or very early in the morning. Unfortunately, that means that a car is virtually a requirement to do this kind of work - especially in spawl-friendly Edmonton. There's also no guarantee of work. It's an on-call system, so one week you might get tons of work, while you might get barely any the next week. Again, that's just the nature of the industry, which is why Drake recruits for temporary day laborers for the logistics and distribution industry. The main complaint I have about Drake is that I didn't start getting any work offers until I went to the trouble of repeatedly contacting the branch after I submitted my resume. With other staffing agencies, I got call-backs within one to two days of submitting resumes! I learned that the person I sent my resume to left Drake shortly after receiving it, but someone else should have taken over the cases she was handling. There seems to be high turnover with the staff, which might explain why I had to go out of my way to solicit work after I registered. Still, I'm glad I went to the trouble, because I really like all of the temps from Drake that I met on assignments. Sometimes I was the only temp on site, but the temporary workers I worked with were the best part of my job.
