I took my small dog here in the late evening for an assessment. Very nice staff and an all around great team. The doctor was so gentle with my dog who was nervous, he explained everything he did in the assessment and was very thorough . We felt as though we were not overcharged for what we got and would definitely come back here in an emergency.

Fantastic service! Very friendly and knowledgeable. They made time to discuss our situation and provided answers to our questions.

My cat got very sick on a Friday so I was relieved to find an urgent care clinic to have her seen. The website hours said 2pm-10pm so we were there right at 2pm. Was stopped in the parking lot by a staff member who was also arriving and asked what the problem was. She informed me that they wouldn't have a vet there until SEVEN PM. So I'm back to calling around to find a clinic with an opening.

Unfortunately my experience was less than satisfactory. I have multiple animals and have been through multiple emergency situations, I understand when I am being taken advantage of. The vet on shift during my visit was TERRIBLE with dogs, I suggested she find another profession. My dog was attacked at the dog park and her ear was bleeding profusely. However since ears tend to bleed a lot, you don’t close the wounds it should breathe. This vet wanted to charge $1100 for 1 stitch, I repeat one stitch. They prided themselves in the initial fee to only be $90 however I would pay $200 if that meant I would have a knowledgeable human taking care of my dog. I left after paying them money for nothing and drove to the vet emerg on the north side of Edmonton where they took exceptional care of her for $400. My recommendation is to take the extra time to go to a facility where you know your dog will be taken care of like the north edmonton vet emerg and skip out on having a terrible experience and lose money like I did.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I brought my dog In to receive stitches after a dog had attacked her at the dog park no more than 10 mins of arriving. The vet on shift treated my dog as if she was vicious. To take her heart rate she shoved her in a corner which made my dog who was hurt and bleeding profusely very scared so she growled (more of a little groan) and instantly that was enough to deem my dog as severely aggressive so much that she made ME put a muzzle on. Then they proceeded to give me a laundry list of things they were needing to do. I told her I would not be doing ANYTHING until I received a quote. She quoted me $1200 to get my dog 3 stitches. We immediately took my dog out and to vet emerg on 97th which is known to be expensive. But I’ll tell you what, I would much rather pay for people who know how to work with animals in shock. AND with anesthesia and everything it cost me only 400 to get the three stitches needed and my dog was much more relaxed. I could never say enough bad things about urgent pet care and my only advice is if you care deeply about your animal to take the extra 15 mins to take your dog to a place that cares about you and your animal. That 15 mins will be wasted there anyways by them being in the back brewing how they were going to screw you around anyways.
