My family feels that Dr. Clifford and all of his staff are absolutely amazing. I am the one that comes in more nervous than the pets and Dr. Clifford always finds a way to make me laugh. Even through the most difficult times and my young French bulldog getting a knee replacement he answered all questions and he was the one who the next day phoned to see how Loki was doing. You can tell all the staff truly cares and are very knowledgeable. We wish you all the best of luck and a bright future as we plan still to visit your wonderful facility . 😁

I am so disgusted by this veterinary office. They are the exact example of why for-profit health care is despicable. Even after treating my cat numerous times and not getting results, they would not tell me what I could try at home. They just kept saying "bring him back in and we'll take a look" - yes, at $60 to walk through the door, every single time, plus all the rest. All they want is money. Any kind of caring about the actual animal and owner is completely behind the priority to make more money, no matter how ineffective their own "services" have been. I also have a friend who adopted a cat from a shelter in Edmonton. She required exploratory surgery because she went into heat twice, even though she was spayed when they adopted her. Of course, exploratory surgery is MORE expensive than just spaying her, PLUS - because my friend had no proof that the shelter had vaccinated the cat, they insisted that she be vaccinated again. Because apparently the side effects and sickness resulting from over vaccination doesn't even occur to them. Or perhaps they just don't give a damn. And now, I have ANOTHER friend who has a kitten who had urinary tract issues. She took him in and he still had blood in his pee. So she took him in again and they gave him an antibiotic shot that would last 2 weeks. The kitten got sick the next day - stopped eating and drinking, just wants to sleep and throws up any food and water syringed into him. She called them back and they told her that he "shouldn't" be reacting to the antibiotics like this, and all they could do is put him on an iv for hundreds and hundreds of dollars, and at that point she should just put him down. How freaking irresponsible can a vet be? Every new interaction I hear about this office is worse than the last. Go ANYWHERE else. It has to be better than this completely despicable "care".

We chose Battle River Veterinary Services to help us look after our (first) kitten, Ginger. The staff were amazing - very knowledgable, gentle and patient with us as new pet owners. It was clear they cared deeply about the animals under their care, and were very interested in answering all our questions. It was clear to us that Ginger also enjoyed his time at the vet as he keeps getting back into his carrier and laying down like he is ready to go again. Looking forward to our next visit.

I just want to say thank you to the staff for the compassionate way they cared for Magoo and our family yesterday (April 29) when we made the difficult decision to say goodbye and send him across the Rainbow Bridge. They were thoughtful and some were in tears as they had been looking after Magoo for a number of years. They were gentle and considerate and let us spend as much time saying goodbye to him as we wanted. Thank you again.
