My cat and I came here for several years before he passed away. I couldn't say anything bad about this veterinary hospital. The staff are very friendly and take the time to explain test results and give you the options. I loved the down to earth vet notes emailed after every visit. Dr.Young is very genuine, caring and knows her profession. I highly recommend.

When we moved to the Portland area in 2010, we looked for a vet that could take good care of our 3 dogs, 2 of them being large dogs that were getting older. We found Frontier and have been very happy and confident in their services. We have had to say goodbye to our 2 older dogs but it was easier knowing they received the best of care in their later years.

I'd give them negative million stars if I could. INCOMPETENT. My belief is their licenses are from a cracker jack box. Guess what I found out after my first dog died. Her breed is prone to tumors on their spleen. You'd think her vet would know that and check for it. No. Turns out she had an undiagnosed tumor on her spleen. It ruptured one night and she bled to death. Guess what my second dog died of - Stomach Cancer. Dr Palmer's diagnosis was enzyme issues. By the time I got my dog to a specialist they could hardly see her organs due to the cancer. Don't go here. Ever. My current dogs go where they are well taken care of. Oh, and a couple years after you tell them to never talk to you again, ever, and that you very nearly sued the crud out of them, so they really, really need to make sure they never talk to you again, they sell your name to a marketing company to try and get you to come back. I had a panic attack this morning when I started getting emails from them. So, now I'm doing what I told them I would do if they contacted me again. I'm writing reviews online to tell others how INCOMPETENT this place really is.

Upd2.: Staff is getting better :) Upd.: Doctor's are generally pretty good, but staff screws up way too often. The latest latest one: called in early morning asking to talk to the doctor about potentially life threatening condition of my cat - should I bring him immediately or it's better just to watch him as stress might be the major factor. Staff told me she would talk to the doctor and they let me know promptly if I need to bring the cat. About three hours later I'm calling back and the same staff tells me she "left a note for the doctor who saw your cat last year, this doctor will be in in the afternoon". Well, maybe it's better to talk to the doctor that is currently in, not the doctor who saw my cat last year, especially if it's a potentially life threatening condition, no? "Oh yes, sorry"... Still waiting for them, meanwhile checking if there are other good clinics in the area. The latest one: they wanted my dog to take some sedation before coming in, but they failed to mention it has to be 90 minutes before, not right before the appointment. So they refused to see the dog. Had to reschedule for later same day. With them things like that happen more often than they statistically should.

Everyone that I met there had a great attitude! They were both polite and professional. They seemed genuinely concerned with my bird's well-being. Their follow-up and appointment reminders were an excellent added benefit.
