I brought my 5 month old puppy into Atlantic animal hospital when she had fallen on a stick. I explained how severely my pup yelped when it happened and that she had been shaking in pain ever since. The vet did a very poor job examining her. I kept telling him her snout and neck are swollen on one side and she gets so upset if you try to touch there. It was obvious to me that’s where the wound was but he couldn’t find it and insisted she’s probably scratched slightly or spooked. I felt like he wasn’t thorough enough and careless. After watching him skim through a medicine manual he put together 3 surringes of pain meds and explained the pain medication was for 6 months plus but it should be okay? He charged me $190 and failed to provide my pup the medical attention she required. I went straight to mainland emergency clinic after and had a polarizing experience. They saw how severely she was shaking in pain and sedated her mildly and immediately so they could look in her mouth. They found a 2 inch thick 6 inch deep puncture wound in her tongue. They cleaned it out and stitched it up in no time and sent us home with APPROPIATE pain medication.

absolutely terrible place. this "Vet", shouldn't even be allowed near animals. my dog has never been scared to go to the vet until going here, the dr was rough and not an ounce of care or compassion towards animal. my dog was shivering the entire time. I've also witnessed how they treat other owners and their pets. Deplorable. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone beware!!!! This vet is dishonest, morally and ethically completely irresponsible. He is a rip off artist and does NOT care for your pets well being. PLEASE take my advice and avoid this office!!! Unless you want to be ripped off!! Truely the WORST office and vet I have EVER been to!!! Have filed formal complaints with BBB and Veternarian College.

I absolutely love the staff and doctor here. Dr. Punia is an excellent and very experienced doctor. Some of the assistant girls have been working there with him for years and years and they are very hard working , people should not judge them by one or two appointments and or visits. People also need to know that owning a pet is a luxury and it takes some money to take care of them since they don't have the free health care we human beings have. If you truly cannot afford to take care of your pet Do Not Own one. Veterinarians are not a charity they also have a business to run, expenses to pay for the business/the staff/the hydro/the rent/the merchandises, food bags and everything inside the clinic like X-ray machines and in house blood Machines that tests our pets health! Over top of their very own mortgage and their own family to feed. This vet is very honest and does everything properly and by the book. He does not charge for unnecessary things. This clinic is by far the most reasonable in price. I know because I have gone to other clinics and have come right back! It is after all quality over quantity.
