Before our Bailey, I have had a dog before. Finding a good vet was always a challenge. We moved to Vancouver Island a little over a year ago and searching for a vet I started to make phone calls. When I called Qualicum Beach Animal Hospital, I liked the receptionist on the phone so much, I started to look forward to meet our new vet. Dr. Ashley Barnauer has her heart and mind set on the pets like no other vet I have met. When we make a visit with Bailey, I feel, as nobody is as important to her than my pup. She makes her clients very important to her and obviously, they are Yesterday, we had an emergency and the receptionist immediately found a spot for us to see the vet. Dr. Ashely wasn't available, but she recommended Dr. Graeme Linton. We were a bit disappointed that it won't be our vet, which we are used to, but luckily, Dr. Graeme was equally caring, knowledgeable and focused only on what realistically can be achieved without prescribing tons of pills or scheduling exams that might not be relevant at that moment. We and mainly our dog, were well taken care of; the whole time in the world was available to us, discussing everything in a very relaxed atmosphere. And our Bailey showed the first symptoms of improvement that same evening. I cannot omit the receptionists; Debbie and Anita are the ones we have dealt the most with. They are knowledgeable, they have excellent verbal communication skills and they make customers feel welcome and at home. As you can guess, I'd highly recommend Qualicum Beach Animal Hospital. You and your pup will have the proper care here.

They've been amazing at helping our pets. When one cat passed away, they were so helpful and kind and made it easy and peaceful for our baby. We're very grateful to them for the continued care of our other pets.

Finally I have found a vet I love and trust after many years of having pets of all descriptions and not being happy with the veterinary services and/or demeanor at other clinics/hospitals in BC and Alberta. My little chihuahua Roxie and I were introduced to Dr. Graham Linton today. He has a wonderful way with animals, and is so easy to talk to, very educated, friendly and very professional. I am so used to veterinarians giving my beloved animals a quick check, no real "care" and handing me a bill and that's that. Dr. Linton gave Roxie a very head to toe thorough exam, a vaccination, ear drops, provided me with lots of advice and information, and put her and myself at ease with his kindness and gentle demeanor. I in no way felt rushed, ripped off or manipulated. The front desk ladies were lovely as well. A perfect experience and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Linton and Qualicum Veterinary Hospital!
