Dr. Robinson is AMAZING. She was nothing short of God-sent for our puppy. Her loving, expert hand combined with thorough knowledge of animal behaviour means we have the absolute BEST vet in the region. We are blessed to have her.

This veterinarian services very much liked by the people of nakusp and of course they deal with everything from household pets to horses and livestock.

An absolute NO if you are not a local of many years. Though the staff and main veterinary had the knowledge to take care of my animals, they lacked in a compassion that is so vital for those taking care of my pets and were strictly monetary based. In an emergency situation, where I had a $1000 deposit, they would not give any opportunity to pay the other $2000 (on an emergency $3000 procedure) and instead the option was for me to put my 8 month puppy down- not by my choice but as the only option given. I later found out they are in direct communication with P.A.W.S. who would have immediately funded the operation. Whether it was because I was not a local, though having lived in the area 7 months, or perhaps their clinic desperately needed that $2000 in that moment and it could not wait a few months, they blatantly chose money over an animal's existence when there was other options. I will forever hold a place in my heart for my lost companion and hold empathy for them and the lack of consideration that was demonstrated. I urge anyone who is a new comer or non local to find another veterinary that you feel a connection with and have respect for. Nelson and Castlegar have wonderful and compassionate vets. it was so unfortunate he was he closest because having spoke with other vets since, I know that I wouldn't have lost a friend that day.

Timely, friendly service and a Veterinarian who welcomed input and explained both the issue and care needs clearly. Thank you, Rufus T
