I had a poor experience at this animal hospital. I brought my rabbit here as she suffered from a small seizure the day before and was rushed to the emergency. Thank god she is fine now. However, when I brought her to this hospital, Dr. Anderson was very nice and prompt in finding out what was wrong with my rabbit - but horrible in communicating it to me. I was charged almost $900 for tests and x-rays. When I came to pick my bun up, Dr.Anderson told me he "does not have much time to talk" and came out mid-surgery to tell me that he saw early signs of liver disease and respiratory issues in my rabbit, prescribed pills and left. He told me he would call me the next day but didn't. Need I also mention that the nurses were not the greatest. The first one that helped me was nice, but told me herself she did remember how to hold a rabbit. She also provided me with cost options for my bunny, and one at $400 and the other at $600. Then comes back a few minutes saying "oops I made a mistake" and shows me a bill for $871. Ridiculous. I asked the other nurse for some documents and pills that I left with Dr. Anderson to show him what I received from the emergency, and she did not understand the question. I had to ask her 3 times for my rabbits other set of medication. She was so confused, the entire time, and didn't even know who my rabbit was when I walked in to say I was here to pick her up. When I got home, I did not know my rabbit would still be feeling the effects of sedation until I called to confirm and the third nurse said "yes". She did not answer my question entirely, and just brushed me off as if I was stupid. Overall, I am feeling uneasy and unhappy about this entire experience. I'm so relieved my rabbit is okay, but I wish my original veterinarian was available so I didn't have to go through this because I just cannot explain how upset I am.

I should've read more of the reviews before taking my cats here for, what I thought would be a simple sedation and grooming procedure. I was constantly hit up for more money for unexpected vaccinations, blood tests and dental work. After spending almost $600 on my 2 cats, when I was expecting to pay a max of $280, I declined the all the extra procedures the Dr. said they needed because I grew suspicious, and simply didn't have the funds. The Dr. was quick to make me feel guilty, saying that if I didn't do the dental work for $780, my cat would eventually die from kidney failure. He said cats can look healthy on the outside, but can also be dying inside. I just wanted my goddamn cats groomed like they have been, many times before! It's never cost me over $120 for both cats!! My only positive experience WAS the groomer! She did a great job on my first car who had the sedation, and did the best she could on the second car who couldn't be sedated because I refused the $250 blood test. So, thank you Kayla!

DO NOT GO!!!!!!!!!!!Dr. Anderson tried his best to push me to do a lot of unnecessary tests.. It makes me feel like what he want is money money money. My cat was having blood urine and Dr. Anderson gave a list of tests that cost $900. I got my cat’s urine sample easily but he insisted on hospitalizing my cat and using a needle to go into my cat’s bladder to get urine so he could at least earn 300+ bucks. He also tried to promote some food saying my cat could have chicken allergy. He exaggerated A LOT like my cat could die in the next minute. I was super super angry because I know it’s not like that and he treat me like a stupid. So I went to another vet in Dunbar which I only spent $50 (urine test) and the doctor found that their is a small small crystal in my cat.He suggested my cat to eat canned food and purchase some special diet canned food. If I need medication, he could offer too. This doctor won’t exaggerate or try to push me to do a lots of unnecessary tests like Dr. Anderson. AGAIN, PLEASE DON’T GO TO ANDERSON ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!

This is a really good hospital!!!!!! I was referred by a friend because my dog was losing weight. Went to few vets but no doctors could pin point the cause. Dr. Anderson was very knowledgeable and recommended some tests for my dog. We were able to get results very quickly and found out my dog had cancer. He explained in detail about the problem and treatment options and we agreed on surgery. Now my dog is in process of chemo therapy sessions done by Dr. Anderson and doing really well! Already gaining weight back! His staff has been very helpful and sympathetic, gave me a lot of support along the way. They even went an extra mile to drop me and my dog off when I had difficulty arranging a ride one day. They are really professional people who are also caring for their clients and patients. Dr. Anderson is NOT like other vets, telling me to try THIS first, then if it's not working, then try THAT for a while. After trying few things, time is wasted but things are not improving and my pet gets worse! A lot of people only see money money money, they feel that they don't pay much each time and the vets are helping them, but it actually does not do any good for the owner and their precious pet. Dr. Anderson offers different reasonable options for what he is able to do and I can select what I want or to have tests done in stages. Nobody "force" me to do anything. Dr. Anderson's examination is very thorough, he cares for the overall health of my pet and not only what I book the appointment for. He found out my pet's dental and allergy problems which my previous vets never mentioned to me. I really care about dental health of myself so my pet's dental health is important to me too. After the treatment, all the symptoms related to allergy (that I used to always wonder what the cause was before but other vets couldn't cure) were gone. Conclusion: I REALLY RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL. The Dr. is nice and knowledgeable, the staff is wonderful, and they DO care a lot about pets' health!!

Dr. Anderson is very professional and experienced. He explained my dog's problem very clearly in details. Unlike some other vets Dr. is very thorough--he checked my dog's total health instead of just the one thing I went there for. He makes different options according to the urgency/importance of my dog's condition for me so I can decide what I want to do to fit my budget. No pressure. That's what my friend (who referred me there) says too. The staff is also so nice, helpful, and caring. I would recommend this hospital to my friends for sure.
