Stonewall vet only cares about money. Not the care of the animal. My dog is 10 years old. This summer I took him to the vet for his normal summer check up to get him ready for tick season. As the vet was looking at him she checked his mouth and got very anxious. She told me my dogs mouth looked awful like I had never taken care of it and I wasn't looking after him and he must be in so much pain because his teeth were just so awful (she had me in tears as this is my baby and I have taken what I thought to be good care of him over the years) she proceeded to tell me that he needed his back teeth removed and possibly some other teeth because he was in so much pain he would soon stop eating (he's never had a problem with his hard food) She also told me it would cost me $1000 for the two teeth extraction and then what ever antibiotics and medication he would need. As I can not afford$1000 plus I decided to take my dog to the woodlands vet as iv heard good things. When the vet at woodlands vet looked at my dogs teeth he told me that he couldn't see there being any type of tooth problems and he wouldn't pull them. He said that because my dog was older he had a small calcium build up on his back teeth that was not hurting him and was normal and the could remove it by a special cleaning .he also said that he would do a full cleaning and look deeper in his mouth just to make sure he didn't miss anything and if for some reason they had to pull the teeth the total cost would be between $300-$500 which included the cleaning. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT STONEWALL VET!!!! TAKE THEM TO WOODLANDS!!

Worst vet clinic experience ever! I decided to try this one out based on good reviews. The staff were super friendly so the visit was off to a great start until it came to treatment options. I have to agree with previous review that they do their best to tack on to the invoice as much as possible. I phoned my former vet clinic to find out the cost difference on the treatment provided; it was significant. I asked for a breakdown of fees prior to proceeding with the treatment and the vet said, "add about $200 in medication" to the technician..it made us feel like she was just throwing around numbers to meet a quota. The total fees were over $400 and once we refused the proposed treatment, our bill still ended up being over $400.00. That, however, is not the worst part of my experience. My puppy was barking at the vet at one point because the vet had been giving her treats and so the puppy wanted more. I was taken aback by the vet's comment regarding the puppy's barking which were said in seriousness: "maybe your puppy is racist... maybe she doesn't like white people. You know that is very possible" (we are East Indian). Talk about rude, immature and unprofessional! I know where we won't be taking our "racist puppy" lol

I love you guys!! A great VERY CARING staff, a well run hospital, and the pets are kept as stress free as possible. So impressed by this hospital I tell all of my friends to please consider coming to this vet clinic.

The staff are very friendly, and were excellent with my dog. Though I found they were always finding ways to add to billing. I was constantly being offered extra tests, sedation to clean ears, being recommended to buy their dog food as a post surgical supplement, etc. I felt as though they sincerely believed these offers were in my dogs best interest, and they did not belabour the point when I declined. I decided to move on to another vet after having agreed to a second set of shots when I brought my dog for her spay, to then have them refuse to administer the shot until the stitches came out two weeks later, and then be told I'd need a third round of shots due to the delay between the first and second shots, each being over $200. I found this interaction to be disingenuous and manipulative, as I would have made arrangements had I been informed the delay (which they caused) was a problem. I feel any pet would receive great care from Stonewall Veterinary Clinic, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the clinic is clean and welcoming. But I recommend being vigilant for unnecessary billings.

Compared to the other vet we were going to (on Henderson close to Chief Peguis), Stonewall Vet was a very excellent experience. For neutering our dog, the other vet on Henderson quoted me around $600. A vet on McLeod quoted my $580ish. Stonewall was @ $250. Obvious choice. To be honest, I'll never go back to the Henderson vet. I'd rather drive out to Stonewall because, not only are prices way more realistic, but the staff wasn't trying to upsell me every second they got. They actually didn't try to guilt me into buying more stuff, which had been my experience every single time at the other vet. They even took out a baby tooth that hadn't fallen out yet for free. Knowing the Henderson vet, they probably would've charged me $500 just for that! I felt very comfortable in their office, whereas I was always very apprehensive at the other one for some reason. Keep up the good work, Stonewall Vet!
