My wife and I had to bring in our beloved fur baby of 7 years into your place of business Saturday night. He had been to his usual Vet on 2 other separate occasions for a Urinary Tract Infection. When my wife had to call Saturday night for the after hours Vet and tell her about our dogs condition. He was in alot of pain...it seemed to us that his body was shutting down. The Vet told my wife it would be 170.00 dollars to look at him. We ultimately made the decision to take him in right away. Within 45 minutes after we had arrived, the doctor told us the prognosis wasn't good. She talked about different procedures costing thousands of dollars, but ultimately gave us the same prognosis, he was going to die. We took this news fairly hard..he was a member of our family. We do not make alot of money and so with heavy heart, we chose to humanely euthanasia him. It was the hardest decision we had to make. But what truly made a terrible decision worse, rather than offer a compassionate discount for services, it cost another 300 dollars. My wife and I will never recommend this hospital to anyone we know, nor ever bring another pet here.

I had to come to this vet this weekend for an emergency visit due to complications that came up sunday night after a urinary tract blockage and surgery that took place at the Loch Lomond Veterinary Hospital last week. This vet took my call in the dead middle of the night without coming across as inconvenienced or bothered for even a single second, and delivered the utmost care, patience and a balance of being frank and direct, but also careful and not abrasive. They have taken care of my baby boy since last night and it sounds like he is doing okay now, and they detail that they have given me about what they found, why this may have happened and what the plan will be gives me great confidence that he is in very good hands. Something very important to me that I am grateful for is that on top of the care and patience they demonstrated, they did their very best to keep the costs reasonable and discussed it with me at length and made sure I was well-informed, and are even going through the trouble of setting themselves up with the loan company I go through (health smart financial) in order to be able to bill to them for me instead of forcing me to pay out of pocket when I return later. I think that this all demonstrates to me a vet that is very willing to take care of both their patient and the owner however they can, and it seems like they truly care and try to do their best. I for one will be switching to this vet as my regular care provider for my fur babies, even though I live in Saint John as I know that I can count on them. The best way I can sum this experience with them up as, is to say that despite this happening between midnight to now, it has also inspired 2 of my family members with a few pets each of their own (with existing vet clinics) to switch to these folks going forward as they still provide great care while also trying to keep from bleeding your wallet dry as much as possible. Cant overstate my happiness enough. Thank you so much.
