The entire experience with Carnegie Hill Veterinarians was a positive one. The staff was informative and responsive to my questions. They were helpful and consistent in their information which enhanced my confidence in the office. Dr Alexander Miller was personable and welcoming and made me feel that my cat would be well cared for. The procedure went without incident and the post-op course was uneventful (although I did have to remove the protective collar within a few hours to keep my cat from trying to hang himself!!). My post op visit was well handled and I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. I would certainly recommend the doctor and the office without hesitation.

Dr. Miller has been taking care of my pets for over 17 years. His dedication and care is unsurpassed. It’s the reason I come from the west side to see him. I had a very sick puppy that I rescued Flora and no one could diagnose her. Dr Miller worked tirelessly throughout her life to find research and different treatments to help her through her 13 years. He was with me when we had to put her down. He now takes care of my new rescue Ginger and my Mainecoon cat Taylor. I am so grateful to him for all his hard work.

These people have no clue what they are doing. I brought my dog in for a growth near his anal gland. Without blood work or much testing, two “veterinarians” went to some text books they had in office to diagnose my dog with cancer. They then told me to “do what’s right for the dog” and put him down. Another vet diagnosed the tumors as benign and a inflamed prostate. My dog is healthy and well 2 years later. No thanks to these morons. The assistant found it nearly impossible to google the number of his previous vet for his medical records. If you love your pet, don’t bring them here

Good, kind, professional and caring. My cat was not afraid at all. The visit was non-stress.

My first time at CHV! I got a very quick appointment and the reception staff was very friendly. When I arrived with my cat, I didn’t have to wait long for the appointment. I always appreciate that. The vet tech assistant greeted me, but I wasn’t aware this wasn’t the doctor until about halfway through the time she did a preliminary examination of my cat. It was awkward because I wasn’t sure how to address her. She then said “the doctor will be in” and that helped. I wish that was clarified with our initial interaction. The doctor, Dr. Kovach, came in and spoke extremely fast and wasn’t very friendly. I felt rushed even though she is clearly a very intelligent clinician. I am sure she cares about the animals, but I need to have a more friendly interaction with someone who can slow down. When I go back to CHV I will ask for a different doctor. I absolutely felt the exam was thorough and I received great clinical recommendations for my cat. It’s also expensive, but probably not more so than other local veterinary practices. I would recommend CHV to others and perhaps they will not mind a very fast vet visit with this particular doctor.
