My cat had a urinary issue that was an emergency, on Thanksgiving! My concern was, could I afford a vet on Thanksgiving? I had tried to take him to Blue Pearl, and they wanted $2,700 just to admit my cat! While VERG is not cheap, they were $900 less than Blue Pearl, which is a significant amount to me, and treated my boy very well! We got him in right away. They were amazing about keeping me updated, and Dr. Lazarus continued to check up on him, and was available for my questions and concerns even after I had brought him home! They were also aware of my financial concerns, and didn't try to tag on unnecessary and expensive tests! I think this is the best place to bring your pet in an emergency situation!

I cant say that they arent professional. I took my dog in because he had a seizure, first and only one hes ever had. Got a pretty steep $1,500 quote for basically in their words an "overnight exam and a blood test." There were roughly 20 items that I was charged for, 4 of them being specialists.. not really sure if anything actually happened behind the scenes since nothing was reported.. The vets were very nice and seemed like they cared enough and I do thank them for that. Unfortunately I got my dog home and noticed that he has fleas all over him... so basically all I can say is that I paid $1500 for fleas...

Nightmare Opthamology! Did not test my healthy Pekingese dog to the sensitivity to his 6 week course of drops for a scratch my dog ended up with, a god awful infection nobody helped! And caused pain and discomfort and then ophthalmologist wanted to remove my pets 👁 eyeball which would leave her completely blind the end result was that my best friend, was euthanized !! I am beside myself. My advice is to shop around, read reviews, And know VERG is not the only choice that they make you think, DO NOT GO so you don’t pay 💰 for a lost cause and end up with a dead pet in your arms. Dedicated to my pal and little friend of 15.9years beautiful, loyal, smart HEALTHY Pekingese; So, so sorry Emilisey, for their wrongdoings i luv u to the moon and back. Rest In Peace. 🧸

I would give one star if I were able to. For those looking for a reliable and sturdy environment for you to get aid for your pets; look elsewhere. The experience I’ve had with verg has been the worst imaginable from a place expected to provide care for living creatures. They will rob you, you will notice, and they will tell you that you’re wrong. Only god knows how my cat has survived his encounter with this business.

I should say that I took my cat to VERG when he was clearly undergoing an emergency, and they stabilized him. They managed to do that. However, after an overnight stay and some blood tests that cost me nearly $2000 and a hurried rundown of the tests no lay person would understand, we brought home a cat who was clearly in very bad shape, listless, not eating or drinking, and extremely dehydrated. We sought a second opinion, and a caring, careful, and gracious vet read VERG's very own blood tests in great detail and explained to us my cat's catastrophic health concerns and their likely causes. That was his last day, and I hope he didn't suffer too long. VERG should have read their own test results and warned us about his health. Instead they discharged us with what we assumed to be a healthy cat. They were irresponsible and neglectful at the very least. Avoid VERG if you can.
