I brought my 12 week old puppy here today. I asked if my puppy was a healthy size and weight and they responded with: 'if his ribs are protruding from his body then he is too skinny but if his belly hangs to the floor then he is overweight'. I received absolutely no helpful advice or expert answers to any questions I asked. I continuously tried asking medical questions but they kept switching the subject to 'how to train a dog'. Thank you so much for the expertise...won't ever be returning. Also-The front desk ladies were unfriendly and cold.

Great Vet! Love them

We have been with Smiths Falls Veterinary Clinic for 36 years with 20 pets and always has the service been exemplary: knowledgeable, friendly , caring. They take the time to make sure you understand every section of your pet's diagnosis and treatment. The support staff cannot be praised enough. They are the backbone and heart of the practice. The clinic has given our pets a care not to be found elsewhere.

As others have said, this clinic is all about the money. They are cold, heartless and very unprofessional. They charged me 1500 for dental work on my 10 year old schnauzer saying she had a good few years left only to lose our girl 2 weeks later to kidney failure and seizures. The worst of it was they charged us to put her down and not even a verbal sorry for your loss. I would not take my pet to them if they were the last vet on this earth. Also beware of the bitchy front office Staff, especially the younger woman. She thinks she is a vet and does not hesitate to put in her 2 cents. None of these people and or vets at this practice have compassion or empathy. I highly recommend you take your pet to Lanark Vet Services on Cornelia Street in Smiths Falls, it's literally night and day between these two practices. Stay as far away from these thieves and take your pet to Lanark Vet Services where they put the health of your pet first before the almighty dollar.
