A client of Harwood Pet Hospital since they opened . Andrea and Marvelle know their stuff , the clinic is clean and the staff bring it all together. I have trusted the health and well being of my cats to both Andrea and Marvelle with exceptional results. If you want vets that will go the extra mile, treat your family as their own and are knowledgeable with the latest medical research/treatments this is the clinic for you. Highly recommended !!

I've been a client here for nearly 9 years. My two dogs and cat have been seen many times by both Dr. Mootoo and Dr. Chapin and have received nothing but excellent care. Both doctors are very honest and open about my pets health and informative on best practices in moving forward with their care. The staff are very friendly and helpful in answering questions and assisting in appointments when the tests or procedures make me a bit squeamish. They all know my pets so well, I wouldn't trust anybody else!

The detail and care the vets have shown our dog over the years has gone above and beyond. Multiple times the vets have saved our dog from some catastrophic conditions, simply by their attention to detail and thorough examinations.

Our dog had his annual checkup the first week of December 2017. He needed his rabies shot as well as Lepto and we were told by Dr.Mootoo that we would need to bring our dog back as both rabies and lepto could not be given at the same time. Our checkup fee for this visit was $136 and we pay this every year and had no problem doing so as we love our dog and want to provide him with the best care possible. We were told we just simply bring our dog back in a couple of weeks for the shot and we're good to go. We came back the end of December - 3 weeks after his annual check up appointment and Dr.Mootoo began examining him again. Both my husband and myself were like what is she doing this just happened 3 weeks ago. To our surprise we were charged an additional $95 for a follow up fee. I was so upset about this I called the clinic a couple of days later and asked why. The tech told me this was common practise as the rabies shot was given and we need to ensure he didn't react. I said I beg your pardon but if my dog reacted to the rabies shot I would have brought him in when it occurred not 3 weeks later. More importantly we were not told by Dr.Mootoo that we would be paying an additional $95 for this second needle we were totally surprised when we received the bill. In my opinion this is gouging and I will not bring my dog back to them as clearly it's about the money and not the care of my dog. The entire visit was minutes and most of that consisted of Dr.Mootoo talking about her cat and showed us a video of the new food contraption she recommends to people and this cost us $95. She also mentioned our Doberman should be 80 lbs and needs to lose weight. My husband mentioned he has owned Dobermans his entire life and is quite knowledgeable about the breed and his research states average weight starts at 85 lbs so we will not put him on a diet. Dr.Mootoo stated this was her opinion of what his recommended weight should be. Dr.Mootoo was reminded of what we were told at first exam and that our dogs weight was fine she could still feel his ribs so why now are you saying he needs to lose 6 pounds? Very disappointed with this vet and I am writing this review so future clients are aware of what to expect. To make this worse we have not received a telephone call from Dr.Mootoo to discuss our complaint/concern and in my opinion just cements her lack of professionalism. Will never go back

We took our dog to Dr Mootoo for a while but were constantly getting calls to bring our dog in for various appointments/examinations and were constantly charged. After a while we felt scammed and decided to cut our ties. Beware when dealing with this Vet....
