I had heard good things about the clinic so I decided to take my puppy in to the emergency center today because she was throwing up for a while. After the initial consult, x-rays, and a shot, Dr. Rickwald returned to the room to talk to me. However, during the conversation told me that he "had other patients to see and needed to go" (but he was not with my dog for an extended period of time - initial consult, xrays, shot). Then when I tried asking about appropriate chew toys and bones (especially since she is not feeling well), he told me they are all pretty much safe as long as the dog is supervised. When I asked specifically about raw marrow bones from the butcher, he said, "I feel like we are talking in circles." I understand that this is an emergency clinic, however it does not mean you should dismiss your client's concerns and treat them with disdain. I left with several unanswered questions. I am not sure if I will return. On the contrary, the other people working there were great, polite, and patient, and they did try to answer my questions. They are extremely expensive, even for an emergency!

Do not take your animal to this facility! Before taking our dog to this facility I did read the reviews online and I was skeptical. I decided to trust my vet who recommended them. We already had a diagnosis from my vet but for some reason we were advised to get a second opinion from The Orchard Park Animal Hospital. We were met with a robotic monotone doctor. The explanation of what was wrong with our dog was all medical terms and spoken with no emotion or concern for the audience. The doctor then suggested we do a test to determine if our dog's illness was a certain type. We agreed. After waiting for over half an hour in the exam room, the doctor came back without the results. The doctor stated that they would have to run another test if we wanted the results. I felt very taken advantage of. I feel this facility is a factory. There was no care or concern whatsoever. We were definitely duped. It seems to be a money-making grab. I walked out of there with no new information than what I had from my original vet. We put our dog through unnecessary stress and tests. Not to mention the over-inflated cost. I would recommend you do your homework and find a good vet. I would never recommend this place nor will I ever step foot in this facility again.

We had to bring our beloved Julie cat to this office, due to the fact that it was after hours for our vet on a Saturday. It was a very hard night for us we had to say good bye to her only after 10 years . They did all they could and went over every option available and what the outcomes would be moving forward with them. The compassion and understanding of everyone in the office was exceptional. Thank you for making one of the hardest things to go through with a pet easier to deal with.

Great place to take your pets for medical purposes. Have taken all our dogs here for about 15 years now, suburb care to our pets, staff very nice, professional and caring

I could not imagine taking my beloved furry family any place but this clinic. The care my husky received over 2 years ago extended his life to 15.5 years. When it was time to let go on Sept 26 2017 ...I along with my Andy were treated with compassion and dignity. Last night Jan 11 2018 my almost 15 year husky also passed and once again the staff was beyond helpful.. meeting us at the door with a gurney and helping in every way possible. It was both times the best possible of a sad scenario. I highly recommend the facility to everyone who loves their furry family members. Thank you from my heart for wonderful and timely care and procedures!!
