My cats and I LOVE this place (as much as cats can love the vets)! Dr. Haskins is always patient with her clients and she knows how to get the job done quickly and efficiently. You can't go wrong here!

For 8 years I have brought my pets here. I recommend this office to anyone looking for a great local vet. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They get to know you and your pet and work hard to make sure your pets are well cared for.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! After taking my older dog in for her annual checkup (heartworm, flea and tick meds) to her regular vet, I was told that she has significant gum disease and tooth decay (she was not demonstrating any issues whatsoever). Her upper right gum area was a bit reddened, which could indicate problems, but could also be due to her panting and not having water during the visit. The vet suggested that I bring her in for general anestesia, scraping of her gums and probably pulling a large portion of her teeth, depending on what they found. I was devastated. How did I NOT know my dog was in such awful shape?? She was not experiencing any issues eating and would have occasional gum bleeding while knawing on a bully stick. After thinking it over, I decided to get a second opinion. I researched different vets in the GR area and found Standale. I was able to get an appointment almost immediately. When I brought my old girl in, the vet gave her a head to toe exam, with the exception of having blood work done. Her recommendation was to wait on doing any dental work. Yes, there was some tooth decay and a little gum swelling on one side, but there was nothing to indicate the need to subject our girl to such extreme measures. You must always weigh the risk vs the benefits and the risks far outweighed any benefit. I cannot tell you the relief I felt. Not only was Dr. Haskins and her staff incredibly kind and patient toward me (sappy pet mom was in tears worried about my old girl), they were, most importantly, wonderful toward my dog. I left with peace of mind knowing I had not unnecessarily subjected my dog to major surgery that I don't know she would have ever fully recovered from. The doctor also followed up with a handwritten note thanking us for coming in.

Dr. Heather Haskins has taken care of our dogs for 10 years, and I’ll never take them anywhere else. The entire staff is kind and truly cares about your pets. I would give them 10 stars if I could!
