Can't speak highly enough of AAC, been great to my family and our pup for over a year now, had to have emergency surgery and was booked practically the next day, repaired my dogs one eye and I can barely see where he had surgery now. Great service and extremely friendly. You can tell everyone that works their loves animals and loves their jobs.

Dr. Ross was rude with poor people skills. I brought my cat in for an exam, the Dr. says the cat has an urinary tract blockage, he said surgery or euthanize, surgery costing anywhere from $500 to over a $1000 and had to be done within 24 hours. He never explained any alternative treatment it was surgery or euthanize. I took the cat somewhere else and they didn't find a blockage but said the cat had an infection after testing a urine sample for blood. They told me the cat wasn't that bad off considering what Dr. Ross had told me. They gave me meds for the cat along with cat food and instructions. The Dr. and staff were pleasant, helpful and very professional, unlike Dr. Ross. Dr. Ross gets 1 star because I had to put something, no stars wasn't an option. My cat is alive and surgery free after an extremely stressful day!

I agree with other reviewers that Dr. Ross, the technicians and staff of the Amherstburg Animal Clinic are all very friendly and good to take calls and questions and follow up on their patients, but after losing two pets both relatively young - an indoor cat (8 years) and an Australian Shepherd (6 1/2 years) - who were both under Dr. Ross' care and both with a clean bill of health until their ultimate illness', I feel the need to caution clients that if your pet shows little sign of improvement after weeks of treatment, to look elsewhere for a second opinion. Our dog went from sick to euthanized in a span of 4 months. We put too much trust in Dr.Ross and it was in the first appointment with our new vet in our new town that we learned how grossly under-diagnosed she truly was and the severity of irreversible damage that would seal our poor pup's fate. In our grief, I felt it necessary to let Dr. Ross know how our dog's treatment panned out by writing a letter to the clinic and was hopeful for a compassionate response, which I never received - after months of appointments, phone calls, and thousands of dollars spent. The prices for treatment at the Amherstburg Animal Clinic might be more reasonable than others in the area, but be advised.

Dr. Ross and his team are amazing! Always great service, compassionate, they call and check in on my fur babies. I drive all the way from Essex to this vet. Prices are very good too.
