Dr Patricia Lechten at Allandale Vet went above and beyond! I am so thankful for the amazing service the team provided to Charlotte, who had another broken nail vertically all the way to the base of the nail bed. From when I walked in to the minute I left every staff member was a pleasure to be around. They were so compassionate, caring, empathetic and professional. Being a full time student I am very short on funds and they were so helpful with giving me all my possible options, they were beyond fair with pricing and I am so grateful. This clinic really cares for the animals and are in the service for the right reasons! Thank you again and I look forward to bringing all my pets to Allandale for future years to come.

Today, we said goodbye to our 19 year old fur baby. Not an easy decision to make. The team at Allandale helped us through the process. They gave us space. Explained every step of the process. We were offered a ‘grieving’ room. What a wonderful idea. My husband and I could spend our precious last few minutes with our Hazel. It was calming, relaxing and not rushed at all. Every little detail is well thought out. Right down to allowing us to exit out the side door so nobody in the lobby had to see our red puffy eyes as we carried our sweet precious furbaby to our vehicle. Thank you to everyone that helped us through the grieving process. Unfortunately not our first experience with putting our fur babies down. All our cats had reached the senior age of 17 plus years and Allandale has helped us through each one of our losses. Thank you again for being so understanding and supportive. Truly a great and sympathetic team. PS as we drove back home today with Hazel beside us. A faint rainbow appeared in the grey clouds. Our sweet Hazel had arrived at the rainbow bridge. She is no longer in pain. She’s with her fur family.

By far the best vets office in Barrie. I had been to quite a few for my three fur babies until I found this place. Every single doctor is amazing, vet techs are super friendly, and I never feel taken advantage of! Would recommend to everyone!

As usual, a calm visit. Our 12yr bernese mountain dog had an appointment for his rabies shot, and Dr. Forsyth spent the time to give him a good look over. She gave us some options for the future if his joints get tight with no pressure. Down 15lbs .

Just went there to get kibble for my canine. She was out into Hills gastric kibble when she started with really loose stool. This works for her and when I called to ask if they had it coz the clinic where I go was out of it, that say the did and I could get any of the 3 sizes there. When I got there I had a bit of a wait at the front desk but only because I didn’t know that there was an actual area of the clinic where they have all the food and they have their own “Front” Desk! Once I knew that it was like awesome and they were more than willing to answer questions, and they also gave me a printout as to all the foods that you can get that are Canadian made. Sadly I cannot get a Canadian made brand apparently for my dog that is veterinary gastric type food. That made me sad that’s not the fault of anybody in the clinic for sure. They helped me out gave me all the information and it was all quite efficient but it was also very friendly!
