Friendly, but always pushing procedures, vet looked at my cats teeth for less than a half second and somehow determined that she had stage 3 out of 4 gingivitis and gum redness. We did not go ahead with the 1500$ cleaning and possible extractions. We have since seen in her mouth and there is no way she is past a stage 1 or 2 on the scale, and this is a couple of years later, she is still happy and eating. Be careful when the vet gives you the ‘cats don’t show pain’ spiel . They may not show pain but you know your animal. Will try somewhere else.

Knowledgeable, friendly staff that are very passionate about your animal's health and well-being. I highly recommend.

We contacted Stittsville Small Animal Clinc and we're able to make an appointment the same day. The staff and doctor were so accommodating, very friendly and professional. Our Labrador retriever was well taken of and it was obvious they were really caring. Our regular veterinary clinic had a two week waiting period which was not acceptable. We are now clients of this clinic and very happy we made the decision to change. Thank you for the excellent service.

Good animal clinic except for the constant up selling of products and services and all the bad things that can happen to your dog

We have brought our dog in because he has been vomiting and having diarrhea for a few days along with lethargy. Our dog walker told us he ate some deer poop in the dog park, so we thought it could be the reason that he got sick. Our dog is on a special diet (raw diet), and from the moment that was mentioned it became the sole focus of the visit, almost made out that we are irresponsible owners. We were told to get poop samples which would have cost us 200$ and were told won’t even prove anything, and then that it was a food allergy. They were so focused on the fact our dog eats raw food (which he has done for years now) that they didn’t even consider a stomach infection, it was mentioned but passed over because “most likely it’s the food”. Our boy came home and threw up twice that night, we decided we need a second opinion. We were heading to Montreal for the weekend and nearly cancelled our plans until we found that the vet we used to use was open on Good Friday, so we drove to Montreal and got a proper diagnosis and antibiotics for our poor pup and he was almost right as rain the next day. The vet in Montréal didn’t even ask about food or diet! He immediately realized that poop carries all sorts of nasties. It’s no secret that the veterinary practice does not support raw diets but they are so blinded by their prejudice that they ignored what the actual problem was. We didn’t appreciate the service, our dog didn’t even get treatment and we paid $100 for nothing.
