I can’t say enough wonderful things about this clinic! I’ve had the opportunity to see all three veterinarians—Dr. Magyar, Dr. Appleton, and Dr. Brown—and every single one of them has been exceptional. I would feel completely confident having my pet cared for by any of them. They are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely kind. It’s clear they truly care about the animals they treat, and they always take the time to make visits as low-stress and comfortable as possible for both pets and their owners. They’ve cared for both my dog and my two cats, and I’ve always been so impressed with the level of compassion they show. One of my cats is quite anxious, and they were incredibly gentle and patient with her, making what could have been a stressful experience so much easier. As a newer dog owner, I’ve had plenty of questions over the past several months, and they’ve always been happy to provide guidance without ever making me feel rushed or judged. Their advice has been invaluable and has given me so much confidence in caring for my dog. I was also so grateful when my dog became ill just before we were leaving for a vacation. The team was able to fit us in on short notice, perform the necessary testing, and give us peace of mind before we left. That level of compassion and flexibility meant so much to us. I also have to give a huge shout-out to the reception staff and the vet techs—they are absolutely amazing. I’m sure I’ve asked a million questions since we switched to their clinic, but they’ve never once made me feel like I was being a bother. They’re always so patient, helpful, and kind. They truly make you feel like part of the family. They recognize my dog when we walk through the door, greet him with so much love, and he’s always so excited to see them. That says everything about the environment they’ve created. The entire team is friendly, professional, and truly goes above and beyond. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this clinic to anyone looking for exceptional veterinary care. We feel so lucky to have found them!

Very disappointing experience. The clinic was disorganized and poorly coordinated, and it ended up wasting a significant amount of my time. I called ahead to ask if my puppy could receive his vaccine one week earlier than originally scheduled because I had to travel. I was told over the phone that this would be fine, and my appointment was moved. When I arrived, I was informed that it was actually too early for the vaccine and that I would need to come back on a different day. This could have been avoided if the information I received over the phone had been accurate. On the day of the rescheduled appointment, I had an unexpected emergency that caused me to run late. I called ahead to let the clinic know I would be delayed. When I arrived, I was told that the veterinarian wanted to reschedule because two appointments had been booked only 30 minutes apart and there wasn't enough time to see us. If the schedule was too tight to accommodate my appointment, I would have appreciated being told that during my phone call instead of making the trip to the clinic. I understand that unexpected situations happen, but the repeated scheduling issues, poor communication, and lack of coordination made this a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience.

This entire clinic is fabulous. Staff is great and services are reasonably priced. Dr. Alec Brown is by far the best reptile vet in the area. Wouldn't trust my reptiles to anyone else. When I get a future dog I will definitely be making the drive out to Kitchener for all veterinary services.

I've officially had 4 pets under the care of the team here at Close Vet Clinic. 3 of them have now crossed that rainbow bridge. ALL of my pets have had the greatest care imaginable. Every member of this team has always been incredibly kind and caring to my animals, but also to me as the pet parent. I have experienced some of the most painful moments of my life in that clinic, and every single time the entire team was caring, respectful and comforting. I recommend them to everyone and I would never bring my pets anywhere else.

I’ve been bringing all three of my pets to Close Vet Clinic, and I can’t say enough good things about the care we’ve received. The entire team has been amazing — compassionate, thorough, and professional every step of the way. Last year, my cat Lynx needed a broken tooth extracted, and they handled it with such gentleness and expertise. This week, Marcel, my other cat, had to undergo emergency surgery for a GI obstruction — a scary situation, but the staff communicated clearly and acted quickly, ultimately saving his life. They layed out all the options every step of the way + also this week, Jam Jar, my pupp dog, had a scheduled visit with a neuter, hernia repair, and a teeth extraction. They took excellent care of him, and both of them are home recovering ❤️‍🩹 The clinic is clean and welcoming, the front desk team is ALWAYS friendly and organized, and the vets and techs take the time to answer all my questions and genuinely care about each pet’s well-being. I always, always feel like we’re in good hands here. Highly recommend Close Vet Clinic to any pet owner looking for trustworthy, skilled, and compassionate veterinary care.
