At such a hard time as my cat was suddenly passing away they got me in right away on a sunday not even being a client of theirs. They were compassionate and so kind helping me understand he had a liver disease and i could easily see he was suffering so i knew the best thing was to put him down the staff and doctors were well worth the hour trip! Caring and kindness are not qualities you see everyday anymore. 10/5 stars. Thank you to everyone here i appreciate it.

Tried to charge me for unnecessary procedures. I have always had small issues with my bill at this vet. Things like charging for a cone when I didn’t receive one or charging the price for a dog that weighs much more than my dog does, but I thought they were just little mistakes. I have taken my dog here since she was a puppy. (Five years) every year she got an exam and her shots. I also bought their very expensive flea/tick treatment every year and used it as directed. I just took her in for her yearly exam and was told by the technician that my dog had never been treated for ticks or mosquitoes and needed a heart worm test. This surprised me as I have always been adamant about flea and tick treatment because we go for walks by the river often. When the doctor came in I asked him about it and he said that my dog had been properly treated and did not need the heart worm test. When he left the room I heard the technician arguing with him in the back about it. Then the technician came in to do the test And I said I felt the doctor was right and my dog did not need to be tested for something she had always been treated for. The technician argued with me as well and said the flea treatment I used only covered fleas and not ticks. So I asked her why they would sell me that product when I had been very adamant about having tick treatment. She had no answer for me but kept insisting they do the test. The doctor apologized and explained that he was new and didn’t know how they do things there. When I got home I looked through my records and found that my dog had been treated every year with the k9 Advantix II which covers fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. I don’t understand why they would lie just to make a few extra dollars. Make sure you read you bill over carefully and ask lots of questions or they will gouge you every chance they get!

Just called on a Sunday at 4:30, they close at 7:00. Told them I needed to bring my dog in to be put down ( and we are a client) was told they were fully booked and I would have to go to Norfolk Animal Hospital. In a time of need and considering what I needed done you would think they could get me in, but no. I guess you are only important to them if you have an appointment. No personal service whatsoever...very disappointed with them. Will not be back. Thanks for nothing.

Very cold and was more concerned about going home then tending to my sick cat....would not recommend, same thing happened to friend who also came her, her cat died due to the negligence of the vet, wanting to go home and rushed her out. I would definitely NOT recommend this veterinary

Not sure why this location is rated as a 3 star. Staff were overly nice, helpful and the prices are fair. What’s not to like?
