We were extremely disappointed with the way our puppy was treated during the entire spaying process. - She was asked to be kept off food and that the surgery would be around 12PM the next day which we found out later that she was only taken in around 4PM. - Following the surgery she was stapled up (which when discussed with other vets is only a good idea for smaller incisions) our puppy was around 70 lbs and a high energy dog. - That night she was kept alone WITHOUT ANY supervision at the clinic and given absolute no pain medications other than the sedation during the surgery itself. - The next morning her staples had fallen out and doctor told us that she had gotten to them overnight despite having a cone collar on. (We took his word for it initially) The collar was then replaced with a bigger one - She was re stapled that day and we took her home. - At home we kept a good eye on her and noticed that the staples were falling out without her making any attempt to get at them. - Two days later we had to rush her back for an emergency visit because one of the incisions completely opened up. Again she was just re-stapled and sent home. All of this was happening while our puppy was given absolutely no pain medications. We took her to another vet for a second opinion and he was absolutely shocked that there were no pain medications and sedation medications to keep her calmer being such a high energy dog. We had been taking her to this clinic since she was 8 weeks old so its not like the clinic doesn’t know her and her personality type. She is a beautiful German Shepherd and it hurts us to think of what she had to go through during this process. We are glad she is doing really well now after switching to a different vet. I would not recommend this place solely for the fact that there seemed to be absolutely no empathy for the animal itself.

I brought my hedgehog to this vet for swollen gums. The vet was so kind my hedgehog didnt even pop or hiss. He gave me a few avenues to treat the problem and we decided to start with the less invasive options first. This vet visit was certainly not expensive and they have adorable animals in the waiting room!

I brought my fur babies here after I rescued them and Dr. Saldanha was kind and informative. One of the two boys had suffered some hair loss and it was really worrying me. He calmly explained to me some common issues that it could be & how to care for him in the event of possible symptoms and signs showing up and gave me a number to reach him personally in an emergent situation. The receptionist was also great and I love the fact that the doctor takes in unwanted animals into his own care. The medical field is not full of black or white answers and in the field of diagnostics/ diagnostic imaging; it requires exploration and observation of the patient & their symptoms in order to work (two things that a vet can sometimes not be granted enough time to do/OR/ sometime not have time to do if the animal is brought in too far past the time to be able to do anything in diagnostics or healing). So to thosegiving bad reviews, complaining & upset that this man did not have an aha moment and give you exact diagnoses with any and all treatments RIGHT AWAY for every single situation.. You are just expecting far too much. This is not a rude hit at anyone who has tragically lost a pet. Just simply stating that most times due to their illness having already progressed too far and/ or too many symptoms occurring due to immune system/ organ shut down (because of the illness progression) the tragic passing of a dear pet and family member cannot solely be placed on the shoulders of the practitioner charged with their care; unless it is in fact their fault of course. But after reading alot of the negative reviews on here and other sites, most of them at least do not sound like an error of the doctor at all.
