Pet friendly. Great staff. Knowledgeable vets and good range of services. Economical as compared to others.

Excellent caring and knowledgable vets and staff.

I used this veterinarian clinic for several years and will never use it again. Not only is this one of the most expensive pet hospitals in Peterborough, but the service has become progressively worse. The following points are true to the past few times I have visited this hospital: -The veterinarian I dealt with was incredibly condescending to me, and did not answer my questions clearly. -The woman at the front desk majorly under-quoted expenses of certain procedures. -The veterinarian was not gentle nor understanding of my anxious dog. -The woman at the front desk did not believe information my sister gave over the phone, and hung up on her although it was an emergency situation with my pet. Unfortunately, the last time I visited this clinic was to have my pet put down. I regret using this clinic for such a devastating situation. The woman at the front desk became impatient when I took a while to answer her questions through my tears, and provided no sort of comfort or condolences. As the process began, the woman and the veterinarian made it obvious that they were in a rush as it was nearing closing time and they wanted to go home. They did not fully sedate my pet, and had to pin him to the table (in a horribly unethical way) to inject the medication to put him down. And then, as my grieving family and I sat in the room with our dead pet for the last time, we could hear them laughing outside of the door. They peered in not once, not twice, but THREE times to let us know "we could leave whenever we were ready" - again trying to hasten a very sensitive situation so that they could go home. I was heartbroken and angry. If you love your pet even half as much as I did, do not take them to Parkhill Animal Hospital. They clearly didn't care about me or my pet, they just wanted my money.
