I wish I could give them no stars!!! Rushed, uninformative and we didnt even see the actual vet. The lady that acted as the vet seemed to be dumbfounded and acted as if she was shocked to even be there. DO NOT TAKE UR PET THERE!! We are not even sure if this woman worked there at all. The receptionist seemed upbeat and happy but they seemed to discuss pricing on the sidelines as if they were making it up as they go. Nail clipping was unprofessional and heartbreaking to watch. If it wasnt for me stopping her she would have kept cutting after my dog yelped and jumped in pain. All in all she is lucky I didnt snack her one when she insisted on hurting my dog and then feeding her a bunch of treats. I was just in a rush to get out of there. Will never be going back and will steer away anyone that is thinking about going!

We highly recommend Main Street west animal hospital to anyone seeking vets and staff who genuinely love animals. We have been clients for several years, and have both cats and dogs that have received care here. We had been two two other clinics in Hamilton before settling on the Main Street west hospital as our veterinarians. We did not have a good experience at these places, one in particular insisted on ordering very expensive tests for even minor and easily treatable issues. Beyond the fact that the services provided are reasonably priced when compared to many other clinics, Our pets have received excellent care at west Hamilton. Some of our pets have had surgeries over the years, two were in acute care at different times. Through it all we found our vet extremely knowledgeable and compassionate, and I would say that for the rest of the staff as well. We trust Michael and his team implicitly for all these reasons.we have had nothing but a positive experience.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET AT 433 MAIN STREET WEST.. HEARTLESS VET..Stay far away from this vet . I found the Vet Michael Mogavero rough with my dog. When I wanted a second opinion about my dog at another vet he took offence to that and literally hung up the phone on me. My dog was given antibiotics for a kidney issue and was given a good prognosis.. Within days my dogs gait was off..Michael lead me to believe it was just his kidney issue..I called the vet being Mike..He stated as long as your dog is eating and drinking that is good..don't worry..My dogs back gait got worse and I took him back to vet. Yet again...Michael Mogavero briskly walked him around parking lot for a few minutes told me to give my dog more exercise.. 4 hours later that night my dog was UNABLE TO WALK or use his hind legs EVER again. My Dog was PARALYZED..Then Mike decided it was a Spinal Lesion, then said it could be a tumor or growth.. Then drew a diagram and said it could be something else.. Before this happened Mike had dropped my pet off to me one evening..He popped open his hatchback trunk..TO MY SHOCK AND HORROR HE HAD CRAMMED MY 21 POUND DOG INTO AN UNDERSIZED CAT CARRIER BACKWARDS.. Another day at the vet he prescribed my dog heart medicine which turned out he did not need. Mike told me if you don't give your dog these pills every 8 hours your dog will die..2 days later he said stop giving him those meds he dies not need them.after making me fear the worse that my dog was going to die...Days before that I told Mike I was hardly eating cause I was so worried about my dog ..His comment to me was..Your not eating and your dog is dying..Who the hell says that to a customer really..My dogs medical records still never got transfered over to my other vet still even after 2 months of wanting a second opinion.. Which I have every right to get a second opinion..On another occasion his receptionist was supposed to be helping Mike give my dog pills..As he lifted my dog off the table she commented..Oh you almost dropped him glad you caught him..cause she was in a cast and was incompetent of giving my dog pills. It took her 5 times to try and squirt water in my dogs mouth..My dog ended up biting his lip bleeding and she was giggling cause the syringe full of water kept jamming on her..When my dog went for a test and had to be put under.. Not one person called me from the office to even say that my dog was OK after hours of waiting.. I finally called them at 4:50,pm..wondering what was going on cause I was worried..The receptionist was rude as usual..the one with the cast.. I WOULD ADVISE PPL TO READ THE REVIEWS FOR MOHAWK ANIMAL VET ...MOST OF THE TIME SOME ONE WROTE A BAD REVIEW..THE COMMENT AFTERWARDS WAS ALWAYS..I AM SORRY BUT AFTER LOOKING I CANNOT FIND THIS PERSON (WHO WROTE THE BAD REVIEW) IN MY DATABASE..I have a lot more I can add to this but I REGRET TAKING MY DOG TO THIS CLINIC FROM DAY 1..The female vet was great but she left.. The female vet at Mohawk I had for 1 visit was more helpful to me and my dog then Mike ever was the whole tiime I saw him..Plus he restrained my tiny dog with a Giant muzzle a few times when he had a proper size one available ..CAMERAS NEED TO BE SET UP TO SHOW US WHAT GOES ON BEHIND CLOSED DOORS..Reading peoples bad reviews at these clinics was scary enough as paying customers watched in shock as their animals were rough handled in front of them..My dog as well was lifted right off the table..where he was so scared he peed and pood all at once ..and how does he end up with an unanswered spinal lesion ...He was not dropped or injured at my house ..that is a fact...WHO CRAMS A SENIOR DOG INTO A CAT CARRIER crate also..a professional vet should know better..THAT WAS RIDICULOUS...YOU DO NOT CRAM A SENIOR 21 POUND DOG INTO A CAT CARRIER..AND HOW DID MIKE DO THAT WITHOUT USING SOME KIND OF FORCE ON MY DOGS SPINE CONSIDERING HE WAS JAMMED IN BACKWARDS AND COULD NOT EVEN MOVE..I WAS TOTALLY DISGUSTED THE WAY MY DOG WAS TREATED AND HORRIFIED AFTER READING WHAT OTHER CUSTOMERS OF HIS EXPERIENCED WITH THEIR OWN LOVING PETS....

I was given referrals to this clinic and I wouldn't let this man touch my sick animal. His condescending and uncaring attitude towards helping a sick animal Is appalling. If anyone needs assistance and needs to go through the Farley foundation don't go there, unless you have a million dollars living in the city of "hamilton".. Take your sick animal as far as you can from this clinic, this man is heartless.

The vet has a very harsh attitude and acts rushed. There was an appearance of a lack of compassion.
