Dr. Pytel and his staff are absolutely fantastic. Dr. Pytel has been making house calls for a few years now and I am totally appreciative of not only his services, but... He's simply an outstanding man. I'm so happy to have found him. I'm blessed and grateful. Thanks for everything Doc. You're the BEST!

I've heard good things about this vet, unfortunately I was not able to take my pets here. They are not accepting new clients, and had said that even existing clients had a 3-4 week backlog to make an appointment. You are better off not wasting your time trying to make an appointment here, and just go to Dunckel a few miles north. They were able to get me in right away and were great with my pets.

I had been going to this clinic for several years so when the emergency vet clinic requested a one week follow up with my primary vet, I called to schedule the appointment. The front desk personnel was very RUDE on the phone and said they couldn't make an appointment for 3-4 weeks and they aren't accepting new patients. I explained I was an existing customer / patient with many pets over the past decade plus. She then set an appointment but couldn't guarantee my dog could be seen for a follow-up and receive yearly vaccines both on the same appointment because I'm being scheduled for a 10 minute time slot appointment. I asked why I should be expected to make 2 appointments for the same dog to be seen for a follow-up and have yearly vaccines? She responded very RUDELY with because that's all they have available is the 10 minute appointment and vaccines would take 30 minutes. A few days later I received a phone call from Pytel himself telling me to take my 3 dogs to a different veterinary clinic as his receptionist claimed I was rude to her. This clinic use to be good but it seems over the years they have started to care more about quantity of appointments and less about actual care for the animals.

I had been taking my puppy here since I got him and ab ppi it a month ago I went to get him his next dose of nexgard. The lady was very rude as I was always told I could come and weigh him and get the medication then. She said no you need a 24 hour period to get it for you then told me that I needed to get him other medication that was more important than fleas and ticks. I told her no thank you and she had continued to worsen her attitude. She got my nexgard for me and then warned me next time they wouldnt give it without 24hour period. I had told her I tried to call for two days and no one answered or called back. She said that's not possible you have the wrong number and I tested the number in the office and watched while she let it ring. It was the worse service I have ever got.

The people that work there are truly amazing! Dr. Covert is patient, kind and so good to my little Curly boy! I have vets that are a lot closer but I choose to drive 25 min just bc of him as well as the rest of the staff~:) they are all kind caring and very nice to deal with. I highly recommend them to anyone Looking for a new vet, you won’t be disappointed!
