HOLY EXPENSIVE! Believe me I take excellent care of my pet, but I have NEVER paid $100 for a "Well Pet Visit". The point is my pet was WELL! I only needed a rabies shot for my healthy dog - and came out of the office with a bill for $100 for the "office visit" and $20+ bucks for the rabies shot. Buyer beware. I was also told I could have my 7 year old dog's tiny fatty lump removed. I said "no, I'm not putting my dog under anesthesia for a fatty bump that is natural for dogs her age to have". I immediately thought of all of the people who do risk anesthesia for procedures that are unnecessary because a vet says "you could...". No thanks. I have a reference for about 5 other vets in the area that don't charge you a ton of money for preventative care.

If there is one word to describe this clinic it’s “inconsistent.” Each of our pets experienced this at one time or another in terms of diagnosis and or treatment plan, one with tragic results. Before you walk in do your research on VCA and Mars Petcare. They are a massive global enterprise. They are consistent in collecting your hard earned money though. Buyer beware.

Thank you so much Dr. Emily Simpson. There are a lot of Vets at this clinic. Most are very knowledgeable but Dr. Simpson is the best in the City!. Dr. Emily Simpson stands out in a class of her own. I have had many dogs in my life and i have dealt with many vets. My conclusion about Emily is that she is brilliant and caring and took a very careful and well though out treatment plan to totally cure my Poodle Marley of 2 conditions that were concurrently happening. . I started seeing Dr Simpson a month into the problem ( so she was thrown into this). My first impression was how she took at least half an hour to review the file to know exactly what was going on and then she assessed Marley thoroughly .. Marley, had a terrible itchy paw condition that was so bad that he was not eating food, loosing weight and chewing on his paws till they got raw. No other vet took the time to culture his paws, which should have been done initially, and coincidentally he initially ate some bones from the trash while on the Topagen spray). I now know that Topagen can cause dogs to do things they normally dont do ....like getting into the garbage. While treating Marley Dr Emilly Simpson emailed me and telephoned me at least twice a week for at least a month to see how our treatment plan was working. It was a complicated routine of alternating days of sprays and foot baths and different medications while introducing the right food slowly.. Dr. Simpson kept in touch the entire time relentlessly reminding me of the routine and saw Marley weekly ( for free) to re culture and reassess him. .I have never in my life seen such diligence, compassion and genuine brilliance in a Vet. To make a long story short Dr Emily Simpson, properly diagnosed Marley and followed a very complicated and well thought out treatment plan that saved his life.. Dr Simpson could have referred him out to a specialist but she was better than any specialist. NO more itchy paws, good appetite, no sign of a scar from surgery and just one happy doggy and Mommy. Marley is now the happiest 10.5 year old poodle and thankfully he doesn't remember anything. I owe his life and the good quality of it now totally to Dr Emily.Simpson. Thank you Emily and I also thank all the front desk staff for being there for both Marley and me and always making appointments happen so efficiently including Rhonda, Colleen, Kim, Carol and Debbie. You are all so compassionate and kind.! Marley will only be seeing Dr Emily Simpson for anything and Everything. She deserves the award for best Vet in the city! Thank you so much Dr. Simpson and the staff at Secord for the best Care! Toby Maya and Marley Britstone! .

Phenomenal care. Came in for emergency cat care last week; everything was fine but the vet (Emily) was very thorough and gentle. Follow up this week with Wilma was also the height of professionalism and kindness. Extra shout out to Ronda the Receptionist for calming me down when I was worried about my fur baby!

Front desk always happy and helpful. All the vets seem to know their stuff.
