I would highly recommend this veterinary Hospital to anyone who has a pet that’s like a family member and you want them to care and treat your pet as though they are an important part of your life. They took such great care of my dog who had to have an emergency life or death procedure done. She was very well taken care of the doctor stayed in constant contact with me because she was there for two days. I feel blessed to have the team of doctors and caregivers take care of her. The staff was so kind to me and I do not have the words to say how thankful I am For them and what they did for Cookie and all those who love her

I understand that animal hospitals deal with emergencies and that wait times can be unpredictable, but my experience here was deeply disappointing. I brought in my dog, an elderly 13 year old pug, Wasabi, who wasn’t feeling well, and after an initial nurse exam, we were taken to an isolation room due to a suspicion of kennel cough or allergies. We fully understood and respected the need to stay isolated to protect other dogs. But that doesn’t mean we could be forgotten. We waited in that room for nearly four hours without a single update or check-in from the staff. At one point, Wasabi was barking and whining—clearly uncomfortable and in distress. I even recorded a video of this because it felt like no one cared. Despite the noise and obvious signs he needed help, no one came. After almost three hours, I went to the front desk because Wasabi needed to pee, meaning we’d have to leave the quarantine area briefly. While I was there, I asked how much longer it would be. A staff member looked at our chart and said they were “comfortable saying the wait time is about three hours”—which, conveniently, was how long we had already been there. She then told me Wasabi was “next,” but as I was leaving, I was told no doctor had actually picked up his chart yet. The inconsistency and complete lack of communication made what was already a stressful situation so much worse. We felt unseen, forgotten, and stuck in limbo with a dog who needed care. A little humanity, transparency, and regular updates would have made all the difference. The only small relief is that we weren’t charged, since the vet never came in to see him. I’m very glad I didn’t cancel my regular vet appointment for this morning.

My baby boy, Winston, who is 3 and a French Bulldog, had trouble walking. Turned out to be IVDD, the entire staff was so helpful and friendly. Plus, no question was stupid. Would HIGHLY recommend

Visiting somewhere in an emergency is never a fun experience but I had the best experience possible at Metro Vet Hospital in Akron. The front desk ladies were so kind and loved on my little birdie so well. I was seen right away! And was talked through what they thought we should do. They were super considerate to my high emotions. Dr. Patient was very clear and thorough on what would happen next. My birdie is feeling great and I'm so thankful to everyone who cared so much for him and me!

First time ever having to go there. Our newest addition to our fur baby family is our Frenchie Biscuit, unfortunately she does need surgery they were very honest about how to proceed and also was able to bypass one big cost before her surgery to save some money. But our little girl is worth every penny it would take to make her better! Thank you so much for you kindness when we were there!
