Don't pay any attention to that ridiculous 1-star review. A quick look through their other reviews brings to mind that old saying "If everyone you meet is an a-hole, maybe you're the problem". Simply put, Dr. Hewitt and her staff are amazing. Ever since the first time I met her, I've held her up as the ideal person whose found their calling in life. I regularly tell people that I wish I got half as passionate and excited about *ANYTHING* in my life as my dogs' surgeon gets about healing animals. She's performed two (wildly successful) TPLO surgeries on each of our dogs hind legs - 2 years apart. Which means we made the informed decision to go back after the first surgery because we knew exactly what kind of treatment and care to expect. Honestly, it's such a relief to know that you're leaving your furry family member in the hands of someone that genuinely cares so much. We even got email updates with post-surgery recovery photos included and we were encouraged to come visit her at night after the surgery in recovery. Our dogs breeder works at the best animal hospital in Ottawa, and gave us her blessing to use Dr. Hewitt because she'd trained some of the surgeons our breeder works with and trusts. I literally could not recommend her more and I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has about my experience with Dr. Hewitt. Google my name, I'm not hard to get a hold of.

⚠️ warning this veterinarian office is horrible. The staff are very rude, unprofessional and looking to charge extra. They left my wounded pup half treated because i changed the time of my appt. do not trust these people ! They are under review at this moment. They do not care about animals!

I took my elderly dog here for TPLO surgery. I can't say enough good things about the level of professionalism, care, and kindness we received from all members of staff. Dr. Hewitt was very very thorough in explaining everything, so I knew what to expect. When I had questions, they were responded to quickly and thoroughly, which made the whole process so much easier to handle. So glad I decided to go with this clinic for her surgery!

Incredible facility all around. My dog needed surgery for a torn CCL and from the moment we arrived for the consult, I knew we were in good hands with Dr. Hewitt. I wouldn't hesitate to return here (although I hope we don't need to!)
