Our dog Payje recently underwent emergency surgery for GDV. When we arrived we were rushed into the examination and it was very quickly determined she needed surgery. Dr Cheevers and the vet techs were so thorough and very caring. They explained everything very clearly, what the procedure entailed and outcome. Although there could be complications they assured us the prognosis was good as she was strong and healthy. The post op was amazing. They care for their patients and included us in all their decisions. We were able to take her home 3 days later and she is recovering well. Thank you so much to Dr Cheevers, head vet tech Danielle and the doctors and techs who helped with her recovery. You guys are absolutely the best.

It was a great relief to be able to leave our dog in good hands in the middle of the night when she became ill. The vets and vet techs were great and caring. We were explained the diagnosis and how to manage going forward. We were allowed to visit while she was being treated and when we called to check on her the staff gave us good updates. Thank you!

I can’t thank this veterinary hospital enough for saving my dog’s life. From the front desk staff who admitted her quickly to the veterinary technicians, veterinarians and Medical Director - everyone was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain my dog’s diagnosis, treatment options, risks and possible outcomes, making sure I understood everything every step of the way. My dog received excellent overnight care along with a thorough aftercare plan and the appropriate referrals. I am beyond grateful. Thank you for everything.

Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto saved our dog Reggie’s life, and we will be forever grateful for the expertise, attentiveness, and kindness offered by the entire staff. Reggie was seen promptly and was quickly taken into open-abdomen surgery when imaging returned results of an obstruction. While Reggie recovered from what was a lengthy, complicated surgery (thank you!), he was given space in the Hospital for three nights, and my partner and I were made to feel very welcomed when we would come to visit. Although I hope that we will never need to visit an Emergency Animal Hospital again, I know that, if we ever do need to, this is where we would want to go. Reggie sends his love!

We brought our dog in after he had been vomiting consistently for more than 60 hours, and the team immediately took action. The care they provided was exceptional. Dr. Yen and Dr. Eino were incredibly informative, professional, and took such great care of our sweet boy, Arnold. All of the other staff were very pleasant, and we really appreciated them sending pictures of our dog while he stayed overnight. It meant a lot to us. The team worked urgently and maintained great composure in what is clearly a very stressful environment. We’re so grateful for everything they did to help our dog get back to his energetic, happy self.
