We moved from another local vet due to not being happy with the staff... What a great decision, David and all the other staff were brilliant throughout a very hard time for us with our cat (Snoopy) being ill. Amazing staff and not crazy prices, highly recommended!!

Where do I start? The team at Medivet Islington are amazing! I couldn’t ask for better care for my visla pup, she has now undergone 2 complicated operations and they have looked after her (and us) with tremendous empathy. David,Fran,Aimee,Bianca and all the staff have gone above and beyond. Any worries we have had along the way they have always reassured us that they are on hand to answer any of our concerns. I also have to say that they all genuinely LOVE our girl and that in itself has been very comforting throughout.

It pains me to write a bad review because we really liked the vet David. My two dogs saw him for almost 4 years. One dog had many health issues. When we saw David, everything was fine. When David is out of the office we had two major problems. Firstly, I had to take a urine sample in for my dog that was being diagnosed with diabetes insipidus. She was in a bad way, and David was running a series of tests to see if that was the problem. The first tests when David was around went well. Then David was going out of town and told me to drop the sample and the fill in vet would look at it. Normally I dropped her samples and got a call at the end of the business day. No call came. I called the next day, thinking they were busy and emailed. I was told someone would call, but no call came. It took 5 days to get a call. I was calling and emailing every day and being blown off. The second major incident happened with my second dog, who is generally in good health. We woke up on a Friday morning to find a golf ball sized lump under her eye. This was not normal and it was impacting how her eye opened. I immediately called shortly after the office opened. I was offered an appointment on Monday. When I protested that this was not characteristic of a vets office to not take a quick look at her during business hours I was huffed at. I was told they were too busy to see her. If I didn’t want to wait until Monday I could see a different medivet. I was shocked. I didn’t expect a full appointment but I thought they would have had me bring her in and take her back to look her over. The other medivet office, who turned out to be great, saw her and immediately gave her antibiotics. She had a very high fever and infection. Surgery was scheduled for first thing Monday since her fever was too high to operate. I am now relocated to a different country. I had requested new medical records as I realised the last records I had didn’t include all the emergency visits and vaccinations for travel. I needed to get my dog with many medical issues seen for renewal of important meds. I emailed the office and huge surprise, never got my records. It’s especially frustrating for me as when I did get records previously I saw information written in them that I was rude to the staff once (when the only time I am short with the staff is when they were not getting back to me in a timely manner for very problematic medical issues for my sick dog). Long story short: David (the vet) is great. His staff is not. If your animal is healthy and has no problems and needs routine check ups this office will work. If they require more, I’d go elsewhere. For the record: I’ve emailed in both times for the above instances. I never got replies from David, only replies from the same staff members who were the problem to begin with.

I would like to thank David and his team of nurses for all the care they have given my cats Barney and Abbie. Nothing is too much trouble, if I have a problem or are worried about anything they are always able to put my mind at rest or if necessary ask me to bring my cat in to sort out the problem. Sadly Barney passed away 18 months ago after a long illness but I cannot fault the care and love they gave him to make his last weeks as comfortable as possible. David is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate vet who really cares about his patients and their owners and he is supported by an excellent team of nurses who are always welcoming and helpful whenever you visit or call the clinic. Once again thank you 🐱

Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. They have been great over the the phone and in person, and have really helped ease our first-time cat owner fears and anxieties. They were also amazing with our cat when we took her in for a check up. Really pleased that our cat is your patient!
