The very best group of people we have ever worked with in any profession. They have given our pets great care for over three years. Whole Poplar Vets team has been great for our pets. We appreciate and recommend them wholeheartedly! 😉

We have brought our beloved cat here, after his urethra got blocked. Poplar Vets treated him, and explained everything in a straightforward and honest manner. Vet (very handsome by the way) made sure he kept our bills to a reasonable level, and didn't gouge us. We have trouble trusting most vets, but we got a good vibe from this veterinary surgeon. You can tell he really cares about his animals. We would recommend this vet.

5 stars doesn't do justice to the kind of service they provide. Staff with pure hearts who treat your pets' wellbeing with utmost priority. I highly recommend. Trust me, I've worked closely with them.

Where do I even start! I do not usually write reviews but this has to be put out there to save other pet owners. I bought my Yorkshire terrier here as he was a little under the weather and my usual veterinary surgery couldn’t schedule us in; I found this on google and the reviews seemed to be satisfactory so decided to book him in as I was desperate to be seen. Upon arrival the receptionist was miserable and unwelcoming and overall gave the impression that she didn’t want to be there. Waited 10 minutes over appointment time despite the surgery being like a ghost town, you could hear a pin drop! We finally was taken into the consultation room, the veterinary surgeon also seemed to be on another planet along with his illiterate veterinary nurse, he examined my dog and started to bring up concerns like his heart murmur which we was already aware of since he was a puppy, he suggested he had conjunctivitis so was going to prescribe some eye gel, he also wanted to take some blood samples, he took my dog out the back to perform this; when he finally bought him back which felt like forever he said he was going to inject an antibiotic to kickstart the treatment and give him a pick me up injection (however he did not explain what drugs where being administered) he also suggested a urine sample to be dropped off the following day and a course of antibiotics be collected as well. The vet could hardly speak English and didn’t resolve our concerns despite being questioned! I feel as though I had more veterinary knowledge and was answering questions on his behalf. Once arriving home my dog was in such a terrible way he could hardly walk and seemed worse off than before he went to this appointment, I now question what on earth was administered to my pet. The following day the urine sample was dropped off and antibiotics collected, I received a call late afternoon to bring my dog in as diabetes was now thought to be the diagnosis; I left work early and called to say I would bring him in, I was now told that the vet had left the surgery; rather suspicious in my eyes. After receiving this response I was immediately alarmed and decided I couldn’t bring myself to put my pet through anymore stress. First thing in the morning I called another veterinary surgery and scheduled him in to be seen as soon as the veterinary surgeon see my pet he explained that my dog was on his death bed and that the kindest thing do do would be to have him put to sleep. He was appalled by the treatment we had received from poplar vets and suggested they were just quids in for the money they could earn and didn’t have any compassion towards my pet. I SERIOUSLY URGE ANYONE EVEN CONTEMPLATING VISITING THIS SURGERY TO RETHINK THERE DECISION! I wish I had, had I not have visited this unprofessional institution they call a veterinary surgery then maybe my pet may have survived. They do not even deserve one star. A quiet vet surgery is definitely a sign that it is a terrible one.
