I was so impressed with everyone at Usher Animal Hospital today. From the receptionist to the vet and assistants, they were so helpful, polite, funny and were determined to help me not spend too much money which I didn't think existed! Can't say enough about my experience today. I'm sure my cat would disagree ;) I have read other reviews of the receptionist being rude and I'm pretty sure I know which one they are talking about but the one on today was fantastic. Thanks for making the dreaded vet experience so much more enjoyable!

Came home one day to find my cat looking a little sick. I called this vet to see if they would give her a check-up and they said because I wasn’t already in their system and the cat is sick- they won’t see her. Well what the hell is a vet for then?!

They're amazing. Dr. O'Reilly and Wozniak are professional and caring and my little furballs trust them completely!

I got diarrhea. Yes, I know it is not the most appropriate way to open a review but it is the only occasion that reminds me of Usher Animal Hospital. It was fall 2012. I had just moved to Canada when one day my old gorgeous English cocker Spaniel, suddenly and strangely, got sick. She went almost unconscious, shaking, shivering, vomiting and yes, diarrhea, a bloody one, right in the middle of my small living room. She couldn’t even walk so I had to carry her. In my utter despair, I rushed into the closest animal hospital around which was Usher Animal Hospital. There was a lady, in her late 50’s, in charge for reception. Having my dog in her agonies, with blood all over her lower part, in my arms, I begged her for an emergency appointment with the doctor. She said the doctor was so busy but she could fit me in for the next morning. She then asked me for the symptoms. I told the entire story: vomit, shake, bloody diarrhea. “Excuse me?” she said, holding her head up for the first time to look at me. I repeated. She rolled her eyes and corrected my pronunciation for diarrhea. I apologized for my poor English and told her that I was just a newcomer and English was not my first language. “Then I believe you need to improve your English,” said she. I still regret that I didn’t bother her with correcting the way I pronounced the name of that body part through which a bloody diarrhea came out. I should have written this review back then but at that time I was not able to write effectively in English. I listened to her advice and worked on my English. This is the first thing I wrote confidently thanks to the bloody diarrhea and the lady behind the reception desk at Usher Animal Hospital.

Convenient location. Very friendly staff who give the best care possible for your loving pets. Little pricey on some services but not unreasonable
