It's an emergency vet office, people complaining about the prices have very warped expectations. That being said, we had to have surgery on our puppy twice for separate leg issues 9 months apart. Dr. Snow was incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. Most importantly, she did amazing work and our puppy is doing great. Yes it was expensive, that's why we got pet insurance, and I'm sure if you went to PVSEC it would cost a pretty penny as well. I'd pay it twice over knowing his outcome would be as successful as it was and knowing that everyone I've ever dealt with there (front and back office) has been nothing but spectacular.

Cannot say enough about the care our 2 dogs received. Service was prompt and very reasonable. The staff took excellent care of our dogs and made us feel comfortable. Hope you never need an emergency vet, but if you do, this is the place to go!

Do not be fooled by the lower ER fee. Every charge will be 2-3x the amount that other comparable veterinary cost. Charged us 4 grand for a 3 day visit for our cat. When the charges were compared at another facility they scoffed at the prices. Our family pet is no longer with us and I can only blame University Veterinary Specialists. They catheterized our cat and ruptured his bladder. THEN they sent us home with a $1000 bill. We then brought our cat to another facility where they did what they could but ultimately we had to put him down. I would never EVER recommend this place to anyone.

Truly amazing doesn't even begin to describe this facility! Every single staff member was fantastic! they give options to pay for those that aren't made of money. They truly care about the animals! Yes we waited in a room for a bit and they can be a bit pricey but every bit of money and waiting was completely worth it! Not a single regret about taking my pup there. They are phenomenal people great veterinarians and just an all around great place to have your 4 legged family member seen! Will recommend to every person I meet!!!

The only good thing about this place was the front office staff who were great. The vet and her "assistant" used scare tactics and no answers to make you spend a lot of money on your pet. That's what we have. No answers. The vet had one diagnosis. After she was wrong she wanted me to spend an even more insane amount of money on more tests/procedures. Furthermore, she was unclear and lied to me to get more money. I would never take my pet here again.
