I don't recommend Danvers Animal hospital. I have two cats that I've brought there. One that was 10 years old. Brought her in because she had asthma. They gave her one shot and it literally did nothing, brought her in again a few months later and charged me again to get the same shot that did absolutely nothing for my cat. They also tested her blood and told me she's in the early stages of kidney failure. I then went to another vet months later that told me my cat has kidney cancer and it spread to her intestines. So if they looked further into this instead of just looking at a blood sample and just basically guessing that it's kidney failure my cat would most likely still be with me today. She passed away because the cancer had gotten stronger and spread to her brain. I have another cat that I brought there and they too told me she is in kidney failure but a later stage. Recently I brought her to bulger animal hospital and they told me her blood levels were perfect and she's not in kidney failure. I had been paying 50 dollars for a bag of dry food for her and my other cat, that apparently I didn't need. I will NEVER go there again.

I do not recommend Danvers Animal Hospital and will be finding another vet for Aria's suture removal. I spent 795 dollars to get Aria spayed, her back dewclaws removed and get her microchipped. When I picked Aria up from the procedure she did not have a cone on and the receptionist held the cone in her hand. She said that Aria really needed the cone on because she was trying to go after her incisions and I asked if she could put it on for me because I didn't know how to do it well. She then proceeded to put the cone on, and told me this cone is way too big for her but they ran out of her size. Aria kicked the cone off immediately and the receptionist told me I should put it on when I get in the car. This is such bad practice. After paying nearly 800 dollars I would think I would get a cone that would fit my dog. I would have preferred to be notified ahead of time so I could go get a cone fitted at a pet store before the procedure. I then had to take Aria to petco after the procedure to try to get a cone that fit her. I called my vet tech friend who told me the practice should have cut the cone for me instead of giving me one that was way too large. I'm not sure why this was not offered to me. It is really important to me to keep Aria safe and keep her stitches clean, dry, and intact. The discharge teaching was absolutely despicable. The only instructions I got regarding her dewclaws was that bandages could come off tomorrow morning and that it was fine if they come off early. No instructions on how to care for her dewclaws when she is outside. Do I wrap them up so they don't get wet? What do I wrap them with? Can I leave the bandage on longer than a day? I had to find this information out for myself. I am a Registered Nurse currently in a masters program to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I know how to care for a wound and prevent infection, but the discharge teaching and instructions were completely inadequate. "Dr. T" called me today to talk about my thoughts and experience which I felt was done and over with and did not want to rehash it. He was completely arrogant and condescending on the phone and was replying with remarks "well you don't want to let her play in the mud." Obviously. It is a shame because I absolutely love Dr Anderson. She is a sweet person who genuinely cares about animals, but I travel over 30 minutes to go to this animal hospital and am not pleased at all with the customer service and communication.

They are very caring about my dog, my last dog passed away and they treated her with respect when I had her cremated. The doctors there are awesome.
