I lived in Downtown near this Vet for years, every year I took my dog to go see the doctor there and do his bath there. Recently I moved to Brossard, cannot get around to this Vet anymore, so I called to ask if they can transfer my dog’s file to my new Vet. The receptionist working there today told me that they can have a “technician” to check on my dog’s file, and send to my new Vet for a minimum $20, depends on how long the “technician” work on my file, meaning could cost me more to do that. This sounds just so unreasonable and ridiculous. To check in the computer for my dog’s file need a special “technician” to do it. And it will cost me by hour how long thdo tech work in the computer to get my file. And this sounds to me just like a penalty to leave this Vet, and cost me extra to have my own dog’s file. This is a very violent charge. I don’t recommend anyone to leave this Vet, could end up cost u $100 or so to do it. Would never come back even if moving back to montreal.

This doctor wanted us to initiate a very strong medication for my old dog and perform very expensive exams. What bothered me was that he was frustrated and impatient when I asked more information. He kept telling me that he had other people waiting for him. I decided to leave without performing more exams because I did not have a good feeling about him. So happy I went for a second opinion, no medication nor exams were needed and my dog lived for another 7 years without treatment. I am writing this review now because a friend of mine ended up at this vet and he suggested a hospitalization which costed a fortune. They even suggested to put the animal down. I strongly suggested her to get a second opinion based on my experience. 700$ later pet is doing a lot better and was sent home.

The staff is very sweet - professional and friendly. They always call to confirm appointments and treat us perfectly - great customer service. They keep the hosted animals out of the cage as much as possible (behind the cash at the front reception, where they can relax with the slow movement of people coming and going, and the company of other dogs). The doctor obviously loves animals, although it is true that he is not the warmest person. Is this a deal breaker thou? It takes many to build a world. Money-wise, every time I go it ends up costing me $100 with the vaccines, anti-worms etc. I find it a lot. But, hey, my own medical appointments cost a lot too. Why should I cheapen out on my pet? It's a good place to go - I would love it if it were cheaper but with the same quality.
