Have been coming here for years for crickets and supplies for my frogs, but this summer they just never had any crickets in. I would stop by on delivery days and they were either all dead at the bottom of the bin or sold out. The staff said people would come in and buy hundreds at a time. Well if there is high demand, there should be high supply! My frogs went two weeks with no crickets. I had to feed them meal worms to tide them over, which they were sold out of half the time as well, and which are the equivalent to McDonald's for exotic pets. Not a healthy meal. I ended up going to another pet store that had tons of healthy crickets, and we're also SELF SERVE which was amazing since sometimes you can wait 10 minutes for staff to help you in that department. In and out in less than 5 minutes. Exotic pets are just as much our babies as people's cats and dogs. Not having decent food available for them at one of the very few stores that can supply it is not acceptable.

I normally don’t write bad reviews but NOT TODAY. I had a free puppy bathe coupon in hand, so I thought I would take Coco - my 18 weeks old standard poodle pup in for a quick bathe. I TOLD the front-desk, just basic bathe, no trimming, no NAILS, no nothing. I even brought Coco’s puppy shampoo just in case they didn’t have the right one for pups. After half an hour, I saw two staff wiping blood spots on the grooming table - what happened? - the so-called stylist Sally - cut my pup’s nails (or cut a toe, she said it’s a nail, not confirmed yet but I will listen to a vet later on) and caused Coco bleeding. I saw the blood, I was so mad and almost in tears. Their words of excuse was it’s not uncommon to cause bleeding if nails were done too short. WFT, honestly, then don’t trim too short. You need to know what you are doing before calling yourself a stylist!!! Over the years, I am such a regular here, I met a few wonderful people at PS - Jason, Morgan, etc. I am trying to look on the bright side now, at least I truly come to realize how much I love my dog and how much I am passionate towards animals. Find a truly professional groomer and pet salon my dog lover friends. All the best!

My experience is mostly about the dog training that is offered at this store. I signed my new puppy up for a package of lessons - from introductory to advanced in order to save money and I also wanted consistency for him. I took the intro puppy obedience class this past spring. The girl who taught the class was super sweet and friendly but in my opinion completely unqualified to teach these classes at any level. For starters her dog is completely out of control and at no point was she able to demonstrate the skills to the class using her animal. She always prefaced the demo with “he probably won’t want to do this today because he is tired/not feeling well/anxious/hungry/distracted” and then for sure the dog would not perform the skill she asked him to do and she would reward him anyway. At times she had a different dog with her and when she did she always said “‘my other dog can do this skill but this one is still learning” which made everyone in the class wonder why she wouldn’t bring the dog who could do what was to be taught that day with her? The one dog she sometimes brought was muzzled and had a really bad temperament and she kept him kennelled the entire time with a blanket over his cage. He sometimes barked uncontrollably and she didn’t really do much except shush him and sometimes bring him out to unsuccessfully perform a skill and then get a treat. She also got off-topic incessantly and rambled on about all sorts of various topics including the PetSmart employee dress code (a particular bone of contention) and issues she had with roommates. I felt like there was a lot of time talking about dog training but we did very little dog training and the talking was actually only about 40% dog training related. She seemed to understand her shortcomings and would apologize about talking too much or not getting everything on the class list accomplished. Lastly, I found it very unprofessional that she mentioned her handmade leashes and collars and invited the class to come to events where she would be selling them and I did not find it professional or in the interest of PerSmart whom I suppose sells leashes! I am happy to report however, that when I raised these concerns to a member of the store’s management team they were very receptive to the feedback and refunded my money for the entire package. I am still offering this review on Google so others can make an informed decision about pet training.

I need to give a shout out to the groomers, managers and particularly Chris at pet smart Preston crossing. Yesterday my pup was being groomed and had a seizure (first time). The staff acted promptly and professionally. Chris drove him to the vet and I was called immediately. The manager called several times to follow-up! My pup seems fine today thanks to the caring and professional actions of the staff. Sending a big thank you to all from Lucas and our family!!

Wouldn't shop there ever again, they are NOT pet friendly. Wouldn't let my dog in store for their party. Apparently if your dog isn't up to your ankle it isn't allowed in store. I have a 7 year old Border collie/Lab puppy and he does get excited but calms down as soon as you pet him. Just very very friendly and loves everyone. Has never bite or even growled at another dog (even though he has been attacked by other dogs twice.) He has raised properly by Responsible loving pet owners. Terrible day for him, so sad cause he loves to run and play with other dogs. Going to the dog park so he can hang out with his friend now. Never going back to that terrible store and will be telling anyone who has ears about this experience. Called freedom of speech and opinion.
