We’ve been here twice, unfortunately, with severe issues for our dog. The first time last summer was for a surgery to repair a broken leg. This year we had eye surgery. The staff and the hospital are top notch, they are supremely intelligent, extremely skilled and wonderfully understanding in explaining all the details of the diagnosis, treatment and after care. I would recommend anyone take their animal here for care. It is surely worth the 8 hour drive from home for us.

Completely dissatisfied. 3.5 hrs waiting in the lobby, they said they hadn’t looked at our dog yet. Proceeded to say he definitely needed to be admitted at $600/night. Blood work etc would put us over $1000 and we’d go from there. Did I mention they hadn’t even looked at him yet. Or given him water. Claimed they couldn’t do anything including water until I authorized it. They managed to put a catheter in his arm though, which he is still healing from... We took him home. He was fine the next day. Go to a real Vet is my advise.

Had my dog there she had a eye ulcer, the vets were good and didn’t pressure us into more expensive procedures, my dogs eye has healed good over all experience

We've had quite a bit of experience at the University clinic and what I would say is that every vet we've ever dealt with has been excellent. Very empathetic and just generally we felt like we could trust them. The reception on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. If the giant wait times on the phone aren't enough, we've routinely had them mess up our documentation for insurance (there was a six month long saga of hoping that even one of them would care enough to fill out all of the forms properly). What really sealed the deal for me though was that our cat got out last night (slippery bugger) and hadn't returned. I was calling to ask all area veterinarians to keep an eye out for him and the receptionist responded as unsympathetically as possible. First telling me that because they are such a "big hospital" that they had no method to share information with each other and even if she left a note at reception it could be misplaced my another staff member so I should send an email. I said I'd do that but could she also take the information and she did it as begrudgingly as humanly possible (at one point when I asked if she wanted my phone number she said Ok, I gave it to her, and she snarkily responded that that was exactly what they already had on file - that's great but how was I to know that fool?), culminating in hanging up on me before giving me the email address she wanted me to send a message to which I was then unable to locate anywhere on the main website, so I had to call back, wait three more minutes, and then have to talk to that piece of work again. Honestly, I love the vets here, but I'm not going to put up with their reception any more. I guess I'll have to find a new veterinary office, which is a shame because they have plenty of knowledgeable and experienced staff here. But to get to them, oy.

This was the best high stress experience ever. You hear about the high cost, but we did not experience that. This was an After hours visit on a Sunday
