I Highly recommend Dr. Margaret Chen

Dr. Margaret Chen has literally saved my vision! I experience a detached retina in 2019 and unfortunately was left with significant vision challenges from the outcome of the repair. She was referred to me to work on finding prisms to have in my glasses, so I could drive and live comfortably. Without her experience and intervention, I was left with two images overlapping with my sight. Fast forward to 2022, Dr. Chen noticed something different in my eye exam from the previous year. She referred me to a Glaucoma Specialist, Dr. Marianne Edwards, who discovered I had a rare thing called Pigment Dispersion Syndrome causing me to develop Pigmentary Glaucoma. Without Dr. Chen's attention to detail, this would have not been discovered until too late. She has literally changed my life.

They used to be my clinic when I lived in Edmonton and I bought more than a year worth of contacts before I left (in one day). I moved to Calgary and my prescription changed and I got the boxes changed to the right prescription. They sent me the wrong prescription so I had to get them changed. They told me over the phone they will replace even the open boxes. I drove all the way to Edmonton just to get them replaced and they refused to replace the open box. I wish they would have told me I could not get it replaced in the first place over the phone. Now I have 90days worth of contacts with wrong prescription that just goes to waste. Consistency of information would have been appreciated. The doctor who showed up to the reception rudely told me my box of contacts weren’t 3 months worth of when it was a 90 day box (for one eye) right in front of her.

Dr Toor and the staff are amazing. Dr Toor helped my grandmother with her low vision. She is very knowledgeable and kind.

I have been seeing Dr Larsen since i was a teeny booper, with the exception of when I lived out of province. He is wonderful and his staff are amazing, friendly and helpful. I am saddened he is retiring, however, being almost 60 years old myself, I am thankful for all the years he took care of me, for his publishing endeavours and I wish him the very best on the next part of his journey! May you be blessed! Hugs 🤗

They responded to my review with a sad story about how they could not deal with someone who could not wear a mask for 15 minuets. BUT did not mention how they were rude and talked behind my back( My wife overheard them, she was allowed in) Totally UNPROFESSIONAL! Attached is the review I originally made: Ward Galarneau Local Guide · 23 reviews 3 months ago They were rude and unpleasant. I have a Dr's note not to wear a mask, as my throat constricts immediately and then I throw up, but they refused to accommodate. We had appointments for our family. They took my wife and son in saying only 2 at a time. Then came out saying that they would not take me in. A couple minutes later they asked to take my 4 year old daughter in by herself. Not happening. I understand for safety but the whole reason for masks is to protect the minority. I wear a face shield. Ridiculous. We will be using a different company for our needs from now on. Response from the owner 3 days ago We're sorry you had difficulty at our location this year. It's been unfortunate for those that have difficulty wearing a mask to navigate different office and profession policies. We have done everything we can during the pandemic to make our patients and staff feel safe, however, at times that has included not doing procedures on those that are unable to wear a mask for the 15-30 minutes it takes to perform an exam.

I have been going to this clinic for several years and have always been impressed with the courteous and professional manner of all staff and clinicians. Eye exams have been thorough and meticulous, and the resulting prescriptions have worked perfectly. I feel that my vision is well cared for at this clinic.
