I went with my mother to get my eyes tested. We were able to get an appointment within a couple of days, and were satisfied with the eye exam process. But when I got my new glasses, there were red lines around any white writing on the screen. When we examined the Transition lenses, the film on them was splotchy, and there was a circular spot in the center. My mother took them back, and they polished the lenses. I tried using the glasses again, but still saw red lines around the white writing. The frames also did not fit properly--the nose pads were pressing in too close to my eyes, and the heavy metal frames were pressing on my cheeks. We made another appointment with Dr. Cloarec but had to wait 3 weeks. The optometrist assistant gave me the same tests she had done the previous month. She didn't explain why she was doing this all again. She kept trying and trying to get good tests on the retinal imaging machine, which was really hurting my eyes because of the bright laser light. I got extremely upset and was crying, and telling her I didn't want to do this test again, but she kept insisting that the Dr. wanted it, even though I was saying "no". Finally, my mother said that "No means No" and we left that room. Dr. Cloarec told my mother that she should have explained why we wanted the appointment (she had done so). He said he didn't have anything to do with the frames and lenses, and that we had to talk to the other people in the office. In the frame department, the assistants acted like I shouldn't have any complaints about my glasses, but after some discussion I did get a pair of plastic frames that fit properly, and regular (not Transition) lenses. However, because the incident in the testing room, was very traumatic, I would NOT ever go back there. It has been a month, and neither the doctor or the assistant have apologized for this.

Took our kids in to see Dr Cloarec for their very first eye exams. No meltdowns! It was definitely a much more pleasant experience than we were expecting. We will absolutely be back.
