Worthy of a 5 star review! All eye doctors here are great. I came in today at closing with an emergency and was in within seconds. At Health First Optometry they really care about their patients and value their customers’ well being. Also extremely thorough when explaining images and diagnosis.

I’m incredibly disappointed in the service I received from the staff at health first optometry. Reception was not welcoming and I had to get their attention when I arrived to check in for my appointment. The person who did my preliminary testing was curt and not friendly at all. Another staff member looked at my previous glasses and ending up breaking the arm because she wasn’t familiar with the brand I had. She did not take responsibility for her mistake and was not apologetic. She suggested that I call the manufacturer to get a replacement arm and nothing else. The actual optometrist I saw was nice but did not resolve my glasses issue. Another staff member went over my prescription and frame options but again, did not take responsibility for what happened to my original pair of glasses and barely gave a discount on the new frame I selected. I'm very unhappy with the service I received and will not be returning.

As a health care professional myself, I am very impressed with the level of competence, thoroughness, and professionalism of this clinic. The depth of investigation through stat-of-the-art technology is extraordinary. Drs. Murphy, Osiowy, and Kloepfer, all of whomI have seen over the years, are very knowledgable and always take time to fully discuss all issues regarding eye and vision health. These doctors are are not only very competent and well informed, but also personable, obviously very caring, and ready to discuss all findings and issues. When referrals are called for, they are very well connected with specialists in all areas of eye health. The doctors, and the very efficient and well-trained staff, are very attentive to follow up on any issues or needs. The atmosphere of the clinic is cheerful, bright, and attentive. While the main focus is eye health, I have also found their services around eyewear very helpful. I highly recommend this clinic.

I’ve been going here for about 28 years. Dr. Murphy and Dr. Osiowy have been my eye doctors from the beginning. I remember my first time leaving the midnapore clinic wearing glasses and actually seeing what the aggregate in the sidewalk looked like. It blew my 6 year old mind. My mom also worked for Health Plus. Many times I called that “0606” number to bring my forgotten lunch to school. So it pains me to write this. Walking into the new location, the receptionists were cold. I feel bad saying it because they were friendly when I was leaving (/paying them, I guess) but I understand the negative reviews they receive. Their first impression left me feeling weird, like I didn’t belong there. Doctors are great, as always, but I rarely see anyone but my usuals. My issue was with the girls doing the measurements. Nothing but gossip. And normally I don’t mind. I’m easy going and don’t really care for the most part. I zone out and text. But they were gossiping about each other, rolling their eyes whenever a certain girl left the room, talking trash about another... I felt like I was in high school. I actually couldn’t believe the vulgar language they openly used and what they were saying, while myself and another gentleman were just sitting there. It crossed the line of not only being unprofessional, they were being horrible people. Every part of me felt bad to be their coworkers and have to tolerate their mean girls attitude. They sounded like two bar rats, half cut, trying to pick a last-call fight. C-words and all. And they ordered me the wrong brand of contacts and told me I ordered them incorrectly. Puh-lease. The only thing I’ve ever been asked is “6 or 12 months” and rest is on record. I don’t care if a mistake is made, but I care if it’s falsely put on me. Anyway, I took them home and now my eyes wish I’d put up more of a fight for the right ones. I’m giving them one more chance because I love Patrick and Bernadette so much. I really hope my next visit is better. If not, I’ll use them for my check ups and go back to ordering contacts online until the doctors retire and I (sadly) find a new place.

I needed glasses for the first time and Dr. Gordon was very helpful. She checked my eyes a couple times, just to make sure my prescription was right. I had an exceptional experience here getting glasses and I will definitely go back.
