Just had an eye exam for the first time in 5 years, whoops! This was my first time to this particular location. All the staff were super friendly, patient, very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. I had many questions and also needed help picking out new glasses for my slight, but noticeable enough difference to me in my eye prescription. I had felt nauseous during my eye exam with all of the back and forth and flipping of the lenses and Dr. Colleen Renchko knew exactly what to do to make me feel better to be able to finish my eye exam, thank you! This location and all the staff including the Dr. were great and I will be returning to this location for my eye needs.

Do not trust anything they tell you. I had a very specific conversation with eye doctor. I was honest with them upfront about ordering soft contacts online but if they did not result in clear vision I would order gas permeable from FYEYE. I had a glasses and contact vision exam. While at front to pay the eye doctor said to charge only for the eye exam and she would check on soft contacts and call me the next day with prescription. I was left a voicemail the next day that they had ordered contacts. I called and asked for the prescription and did not need them to order anything. They refused to provide prescription to me. The doctor said measurements would be needed for gas permeable but no fitting is needed for soft. I called back. I was told they had no measurements for contacts so could not provide a prescription. I asked how they ordered them for me then. Still refused to provide prescription to me. I was honest at all times and doctor and I were very clear. But the staff refuse to provide my prescription to me....even though they ORDERED lenses for me....DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE...THEY ONLY WANT TO SELL LENSES AND GLASSES AND WILL NOT PROVIDE PRESCRIPTIONS

Both my son and I have had exams here in the past. I was surprised by the $25 charge for my son's yearly exam. When I questioned the receptionist, i was told it was because of one of the tests they did. It would have been nice to know before hand so I could have opted out . Kids regular eye exams are supposed to be free in Alberta. I recently switched to a new office who does not have any extra fee's. This is really tacky. I wonder how many people have be stuck with this unnecessary charge. Shameful.

Dr. Don was great with my 2 year old little girl and myself. Very knowledgable, easy going and honest. Our family has peace of mind knowing that Dr. Don will be taking care of all of us.

First time visitor to this location. Dr. Don Meckelborg was fantastic, just the right balance of humor and seriousness. Gives an honest opinion and doesn't come off like a "salesman" as so many optometrists do. Front end staff is very friendly and helpful, and their prices are great! Will definitely be back!
